POWER STORAGE DEVICE
A power storage device includes a case, a power storage element disposed in the case, a lead connected to an electrode of the power storage element, a sealing member sealing an opening of the case. The sealing member includes a gasket and a sealing plate having conductivity. The gasket includes a base having a disk shape. The base is disposed between the sealing plate and the power storage element. The base has a through-hole formed therein. The sealing plate includes a protrusion inserted in the through-hole. The protrusion of the sealing plate is connected to the lead. The protrusion is configured to be displaced in a direction away from the lead in accordance with an increase of an internal pressure of the case so as to be disconnected from the lead.
ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY INCLUDING DISCONNECTION PREVENTING LAYER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
An electrode assembly having a positive electrode; a negative electrode; and a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode is provided. The positive electrode includes a positive electrode active material layer located on a positive electrode current collector, and the negative electrode includes a negative electrode active material layer located on a negative electrode current collector. A non-coated part is located at an edge of the negative electrode current collector. A disconnection preventing layer is located at the negative electrode current collector. The disconnection preventing layer extends from an external side of the non-coated part and is bent to overlap a portion of the non-coated part.
Energy storage system
The energy storage system includes battery cells, a subrack, a backplane, and a battery management system BMS. The subrack reserves a plurality of battery cell slots, the battery cells are connected to the backplane through the battery cell slots. The backplane is installed in the subrack, a first power terminal is reserved at a position corresponding to the battery cell slot on the backplane, and a plug-in power terminal is formed by a second power terminal of the battery cell together with the first power terminal. A power circuit, a sampling circuit, and an equalizer circuit are integrated into the backplane, and the power circuit, the sampling circuit, and the equalizer circuit are connected after the second power terminal is plugged and docked with the first power terminal. The BMS is connected to the backplane for managing the energy storage system.

Provided is a battery pack including a pair of output terminals, a control unit, and a plurality of battery units, where each of the plurality of battery units includes a plurality of battery blocks connected in series, a positive electrode terminal, and a negative electrode terminal, the battery block includes one battery or a plurality of batteries connected in parallel, a fuse is connected between at least one output terminal of the pair of output terminals and a positive electrode terminal or a negative electrode terminal corresponding to the one output terminal, and the fuse is allowed to be fused by the control unit.
WOUND CYLINDRICAL LITHIUM-SULFUR BATTERY INCLUDING ELECTRICALLY-CONDUCTIVE CARBONACEOUS MATERIALS
A lithium-sulfur battery includes a casing, a top lid circumferentially welded to the casing, a negative contact surface positioned opposite the top lid, a positive terminal disposed within the casing, welded to the top lid, and configured as a mandrel, a glass insulator circumferentially wound around the mandrel, and a jelly roll including at least an anode and a cathode wound around the mandrel. The jelly roll may also include a top surface not in contact with the top lid, a bottom surface partially in contact with the negative contact surface, and partially in contact with a plurality of non-hollow carbonaceous spherical particles disposed between the bottom surface of the jelly roll and the negative contact surface. At least some of the non-hollow carbonaceous spherical particles may provide one or more electrically-conductive pathways between the bottom surface and the negative contact surface.
WOUND CYLINDRICAL LITHIUM-SULFUR BATTERY INCLUDING ELECTRICALLY-CONDUCTIVE CARBONACEOUS MATERIALS
A lithium-sulfur battery includes a casing, a top lid circumferentially welded to the casing, a negative contact surface positioned opposite the top lid, a positive terminal disposed within the casing, welded to the top lid, and configured as a mandrel, a glass insulator circumferentially wound around the mandrel, and a jelly roll including at least an anode and a cathode wound around the mandrel. The jelly roll may also include a top surface not in contact with the top lid, a bottom surface partially in contact with the negative contact surface, and partially in contact with a plurality of non-hollow carbonaceous spherical particles disposed between the bottom surface of the jelly roll and the negative contact surface. At least some of the non-hollow carbonaceous spherical particles may provide one or more electrically-conductive pathways between the bottom surface and the negative contact surface.
Secondary battery
The present disclosure provides a secondary battery which comprises: a cap plate provided with a first electrode terminal; an electrode assembly comprising a main body and a first electrode tab; a first connecting piece connected between the first electrode tab and the first electrode terminal. The first connecting piece includes a first electrode terminal connecting portion, a first electrode tab connecting portion and a first fusing portion. The secondary battery further comprises an insulating piece arranged on the first connecting piece to prevent direct physical contact between the first electrode tab and the first electrode terminal connecting portion by covering at least an edge of the first electrode terminal connecting portion.
