WAVEGUIDE ARRANGEMENT
A waveguide arrangement for guiding electromagnetic waves in a cavity surrounded by conductive material is proposed, wherein the waveguide arrangement comprises a printed circuit board material having an electrically conductive, plate-shaped back, a substrate and a conductive layer arranged on a side of the substrate facing away from the back. According to the invention, it is provided that the back has a surface structure, preferably formed by at least one recess, by which the waveguiding cavity is at least partially directly bounded; and/or that the cavity is formed in split-block technology by joining the printed circuit board material as split-block bottom part with a corresponding cover as split-block top part.
Radio-Frequency Assembly With Impedance Matching Filter
A radio-frequency assembly is described which can be used in communication satellites, for example. The radio-frequency assembly contains a signal source in the form of a semiconductor amplifier output, an impedance matching filter, and a radio-frequency waveguide. The impedance matching filter is connected to the semiconductor amplifier output on the input side and to the radio-frequency waveguide on the output side. The impedance matching filter has a different impedance value on the input side from that on the output side and is matched to the semiconductor amplifier output on the input side and matched to the radio-frequency waveguide on the output side. Consequently, a separate matching circuit between semiconductor amplifier output and radio-frequency waveguide is no longer necessary.
Waveguide Arrangement Containing A Ridged Waveguide And A Waveguide, And Connecting Interface
A waveguide arrangement contains a first ridged waveguide and a second waveguide. The first ridged waveguide contains a first casing with a first cavity and a first ridge extending in the first cavity in the longitudinal direction. The first ridge is conductively connected to a wall of the first casing. The second waveguide contains a second casing with a second cavity. The first ridged waveguide overlaps the second waveguide in the longitudinal direction of the waveguide arrangement in a connecting section to produce a capacitive coupling between the first ridge and the second waveguide.

The first portion and the second portion form a seam, where the first portion has a top side opposite the seam and the second portion has a bottom side opposite the seam. The system includes at least one port located on a bottom side of the second portion. Additionally, the system includes radiating elements located on the top side of the first portion, wherein the radiating elements are arranged in a plurality of arrays. Yet further, the system includes a set of waveguides in the split-block assembly configured to couple each array to at least one port. Furthermore, the split-block assembly is made from a polymer and where at least the set of waveguides, the at least one port, and the plurality of radiating elements include metal on a surface of the polymer.
Waveguide combiner/divider having plural input/output ports with longitudinal extent
A combiner/divider includes a plurality of input/output waveguides distributed in a plane and diverging in at least a partially common direction away from a central point. Each input/output waveguide extends from an outer node disposed distal of the central point to an inner port proximate to and spaced from the central point. Each input/output waveguide has a respective dimension in the plane that increases between the inner port and the outer node. An output/input waveguide has an aggregate port proximate to the central point and facing the inner ports. A transition waveguide defines an open cavity that flares outwardly in the plane from the aggregate port toward the inner ports and communicatively couples the output/input waveguide with the input/output waveguides. Opposing distal surfaces of the transition waveguide and inner port edges are spaced apart by a distance that decreases with increasing distance from the aggregate port.
Broadband panel array antenna
A broadband panel array antenna includes a polarization layer, a radiating layer and a feed layer which are sequentially stacked from top to bottom. The feed layer is used for converting a single path of TE10 mode signals into a plurality of paths of same-power in-phase TE10 mode signals and transmitting the plurality of paths of TE10 mode signals to the radiating layer. The radiating layer is used for radiating the plurality of paths of TE10 mode signals from the feed layer to a free space. The polarization layer is used for rotating the polarization direction of an electric field generated by the radiating layer to reduce the side lobe in an E-plane direction diagram and an H-plane direction diagram. The broadband panel array antenna has the advantages of being low in side lobe, high in gain and efficiency, and low in machining cost.
