NFC Antenna Structure for Radiation Enhancement
A near-field communication (NFC) antenna structure for radiation enhancement of a computing device that includes a ferrite sheet, separated into two sections. The NFC antenna structure may be used to improve (i) the magnetic field strength generated by an NFC antenna and (ii) inductive coupling to a receiving antenna of another computing device. A first ferrite section may be placed on a first side of the NFC antenna to at least partially overlap the NFC antenna, and a second ferrite section may be placed on a second side (opposite the first side) to at least partially overlap the NFC antenna. The first ferrite section may be positioned towards a top end that is often positioned closest to a receiving device, as held by a user when performing a contactless communication of the computing device, to increase the magnetic field strength and improve the inductive coupling at the top end.

According to an implementation, a computing device includes electronic circuitry, and an antenna and heat venting chamber having an antenna radiating element disposed in at least a first plane, a ground plane element disposed in at least a second plane, a first side wall member defining a plurality of perforations, and a second side wall member having a portion that is disposed opposite to the first side wall member, where the portion of the second side wall member defines at least one opening. The computing device includes a cooling system configured to vent heat generated by the electronic circuitry through the antenna and heat venting chamber.
Electronic device and pivotable assembly
An electronic device includes a casing, a first antenna assembly, a second antenna assembly and a third antenna assembly. At least one of the first antenna assembly, the second antenna assembly and the third antenna assembly is rotatably disposed on the casing, and the rest are fixed on the casing.
KICKSTAND WITH INTEGRATED ANTENNA
A kickstand for ergonomically positioning a computer device is equipped with an integrated antenna. In embodiments, the kickstand stores into a recess on a computer device, and can be deployed to help place the computer device into an ergonomic position. A switch or other sensor in the computer device may detect when the kickstand is deployed, and switch a radio within the computer device from an internal antenna to the antenna integrated into the kickstand. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Electronic device
An electronic modulating device is provided. The electronic modulating device includes a substrate, a plurality of first modulating electrodes disposed on the substrate, and a plurality of second modulating electrodes disposed on the substrate. The area of one of the first modulating electrodes is greater than the area of one of the second modulating electrodes. The ratio of the number of first modulating electrodes to the number of second modulating electrodes is in a range from 0.5 to 2.0.
