Multiple antenna system and method for mobile platforms
A method and system facilitate communication between a constellation of satellites and a mobile platform-mounted mobile communicator. The method and system may include the use of a first antenna suited for operation using a first frequency band in a first geographic region and a second antenna suited for operation using either the first or a second frequency band in a second geographic region. The method and system may use a controller to determine which antenna to activate based on one or more of a geographic indicator or a signal indicator. The system used by the method to facilitate the communication may have one or more enclosures over the antennas and controller for mounting to a mobile platform.

HIGH ALTITUDE BALLOON ANTENNA SYSTEMS
Described herein are features for high altitude lighter-than-air (LTA) balloon antenna systems and associated methods. One or more long wire communications antennas may be built into the balloon skin. The antenna may extend under, in, on or otherwise along one of the seams formed by connected edges of gores that define the balloon volume. The antenna may include an elongated electrical conductor with a length based on a desired communication frequency. The antenna may be secured with load tape along the seam. The antenna may be included in an LTA balloon system that includes multiple balloons connected in tandem, such as a zero-pressure balloon (ZPB) and one or more variable air ballast super-pressure balloons (SPB).
Microwave-doppler detecting module and device thereof
A microwave-doppler detecting module and device thereof are provided, wherein the microwave-doppler detecting module includes an electromagnetic reflecting surface and at least a pair of antithetical dipoles spacingly disposed to the electromagnetic reflecting surface. When the first and second radiating source poles respectively extended from a first and second feed ends of the pair of antithetical dipoles are respectively fed by the same excitation signal feed source at the first feed end and the second feed end, the current and the potential distribution of the first radiating source pole and the second radiating source pole can present an antithetical distribution state and antithetically coupled to the midpoint of the connection of the first feed end and the second feed end, so as to reduce the size requirement of the microwave-doppler detecting module and to avoid detection dead zone from occurring.

Compressed closed circuit circularly polarized omni-directional antenna
Compressed closed circuit circularly polarized (CLCP) omni-directional antennas and methods of fabrication are described. Such an antenna reduces the size of conventional circularly polarized antennas while also allowing increased axial ratio. An antenna comprises a plurality of conductive elements at an angle of between 5 and 52 degrees spaced radially around a multi-element feed system. The multi-element feed system may be made from a PCB and fed from a coaxial cable. The plurality of conductive elements may contain between 2 and 8 individual conductive elements. Each element in the plurality of conductive elements is a closed loop. The antenna may be covered by a protective housing which may also further reduce the size of the antenna.
Characterizing antenna patterns
in one embodiment, a method includes determining a received power at a receiving antenna mounted to an antenna measurement system from a transmitting antenna mounted to a device under test (DUI) in motion relative to the antenna measurement system; determining one or more first orientation parameters of the antenna measurement system; determining one or more second orientation parameters of the DUT; and determining an antenna pattern of the transmitting antenna based on the received power, the first orientation parameters, and the second orientation parameters.

Directional antenna tracking method and communication device
A directional antenna tracking method includes obtaining first motion feature information of a first device, receiving second motion feature information transmitted from a second device, calculating tracking information of a first directional antenna of the first device with respect to a second directional antenna of the second device based on the first motion feature information and the second motion feature information, and controlling the first directional antenna to move according to the tracking information to face toward the second directional antenna.
Method for curing and embedding an antenna in a composite part
A method of making a part comprising stacking a plurality of uncured composite sheets to form an uncured composite stack. The method also comprises interposing a resistor wire between an adjacent two of the uncured composite sheets of the uncured composite stack. The method further comprises applying heat to the uncured composite stack externally of the uncured composite stack to at least partially cure the plurality of uncured composite sheets. The method additionally comprises transmitting an electric current through the resistor wire to generate heat, from the resistor wire, internally within the uncured composite stack to at least partially cure the plurality of uncured composite sheets. Applying heat to the uncured composite stack externally and generating heat internally converts the plurality of uncured composite sheets into a plurality of cured composite sheets and converts the uncured composite stack into a cured composite stack.
