Methods for forming 3D image data and associated apparatuses
A method for forming 3D image data representative of the subsurface of infrastructure located in the vicinity of a moving vehicle. The method includes: rotating a directional antenna, mounted to the moving vehicle, about an antenna rotation axis; performing, using the directional antenna whilst it is rotated about the antenna rotation axis, a plurality of collection cycles in which the directional antenna emits RF energy and receives reflected RF energy; collecting, during each of the plurality of collection cycles performed by the directional antenna.
Communication system and method
A system includes a housing operably coupled with a vehicle system, and a vehicle monitoring system disposed within the housing comprising a wireless communication device including an antenna configured to wirelessly communication data signals. One or more ground radials are electrically coupled with the wireless communication device and conduct the data signals from the wireless communication device. The one or more ground radials form a ground plane of the antenna while the vehicle system is moving and the antenna is wirelessly communicating the data signals.
Communication system, communication method, and storage medium
A communication system is a communication system provided in a mobile body and including an acquirer configured to acquire a destination of the mobile body and a position of the mobile body, and a communicator configured to communicate with a communication device outside the mobile body using an antenna, in which the communicator is configured to set a reception sensitivity of the antenna when the position of the mobile body approaches to within a predetermined distance from the destination of the mobile body to be higher than a reception sensitivity of the antenna before the position of the mobile body approaches to within the predetermined distance.
Transition in a multi-layer substrate between a substrate integrated waveguide portion and a coplanar waveguide portion
Transitional elements to offset a capacitive impedance in a transmission line are disclosed. Described are various examples of transitional elements in a multilayer substrate that introduce a transitional reactance to cancel the transmission line capacitive effects. The transitional elements reduce insertion loss.

System and method for building and managing a train consist
Railyard management system for managing, assembling, disassembling and validating train consists and monitoring railcars in the railyard. The system provides for the collection of data and the movement of data from lower processing levels to higher processing levels, where an inference engine draws inferences regarding the current state of railcars and train consists within the railyard. The inferences can be based on characteristics of a transmission signal received at their respective railcars, said railcars forming a train consist. The system can be used to track the location and orientation of railcars in the railyard and to validate order and orientation of assets in a train consist based on the characteristics of the transmission signal at said railcars.
DATA TRANSMISSION DEVICE, METHOD, AND SYSTEM
Embodiments of the present invention relate to the communications field and disclose a data transmission device, method, and system, so as to better improve an average downlink throughput of UE. A specific solution is: A determining unit determines a downlink frequency shift according to a received uplink signal sent by a terminal device, and determines a second transmit frequency according to the downlink frequency shift and a first transmit frequency; and a sending unit sends a downlink signal to the terminal device according to the second transmit frequency determined by the determining unit, so that the terminal device receives the downlink signal according to a receive frequency corresponding to the first transmit frequency, where the downlink signal includes at least one of a DMRS or downlink data. The present invention is applied in a data transmission process.
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, BASE STATION AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD
The wireless communication system comprises: a plurality of ground radio sets installed along a railway that carry out the transmission/reception of a radar signal with a first frequency and the transmission/reception of a communication signal with a second frequency; a vehicle radio set on a train that carries out the transmission/reception of a communication signal with the second frequency; and a switching control device that controls the switching of ground radio sets that are to communicate with the vehicle radio set based on the reception level of the radar signal. Furthermore, the configuration allows the ground radio sets that are not communicating with the vehicle radio set to transmit a radar signal, and allows the ground radio set that has started communicating with the vehicle radio set to transmit a radar signal and a communication signal.
Mobile tower system
A mobile tower system includes a tower cassette sized to be accommodated in a bed of a pickup truck. The tower cassette includes a container, a tower vertically fixed to a back portion of the container, and a mounting member fixed to a top of the tower. The mounting member has a free end for mounting a piece of equipment thereto, and the mounting member is moveable between a stowed position and a use position. When in the stowed position, the free end of the mounting member is disposed inside of the container for securing the piece of equipment mounted thereto in the container when the tower is not in use. When in the use position, the free end of the mounting member is disposed outside of the container for operating the piece of equipment when the tower is in use.
DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR AN INDUCTOR AND ACTIVE TRANSMITTER DEVICE HAVING A DRIVER CIRCUIT
The invention relates to a driver circuit and an active transmitter device, a series circuit consisting of a first capacitor (4) and a second capacitor (12) being charged to a reference voltage by way of a charging current and the charged capacitors being discharged via the inductor (1) by an oscillating discharge, the discharge being terminated when the current through the inductor has completed an entire oscillation period or a multiple thereof.
