ELECTROMAGNETIC DIELECTRIC MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ELECTROMAGNETIC DIELECTRIC MATERIAL
Provided is an electromagnetic dielectric material (1). The electromagnetic dielectric material (1) is a column structure. The electromagnetic dielectric material (1) includes an inner core (11), a first foam layer (12) and a second foam layer (13) sequentially arranged from inside to outside on the cross section of the column structure. The first foam layer (12) and the second foam layer (13) are each a layer formed from a foam material foamed. The electromagnetic dielectric material further includes metal wires (14). The metal wires (14) are disposed in the longitudinal direction of the column structure, are not in contact with each other and are evenly distributed on the periphery of the first foam layer (12). Further provided is a method for producing an electromagnetic dielectric material (1).

Provided is a device for transmitting signals, the device including: a first conductive base and a second conductive base parallel to each other, a waveguide at least partially surrounded by side walls located between the first conductive base and the second conductive base and including at least one electromagnetic band gap (EBG) structure, and at least two directional antennas opposite to or facing each other in a direction in which signals are transmitted, wherein each antenna is on a printed circuit board and includes another EBG structure located on an upper layer and a lower layer of the printed circuit board and at least one matching element, at least a part of each of the antennas is located inside the waveguide to form a wireless channel configured to transmit electromagnetic signals in an area between the antennas, and the at least one matching element is located within a specified distance of the wireless channel and is configured to match the antenna with the wireless channel.

An antenna device and a wireless communication apparatus capable of implementing increase in bandwidth and reduction of the manufacturing cost are provided. The antenna device includes a first antenna element and a second antenna element arranged on one face side of the first antenna element. The first antenna element includes a first glass substrate and a first patch antenna provided on the first glass substrate. The second antenna element includes a second glass substrate and a second patch antenna provided on the second glass substrate. At least part of the first patch antenna faces the second patch antenna with an air gap interposed therebetween.

Broadband circularly polarized patch antenna and method
An antenna for connection to a feed includes a substrate with a conductive ground plane. An emitter is positioned on the top face of the substrate, and the feed is connected to the emitter and ground plane. A spacer is positioned on the substrate above the emitter and one layer of high dielectric constant rods is positioned above the spacer. The rods are positioned in a single plane, coplanar with the emitter, and parallel to the dominant current distribution when the emitter is active. Further layers of spacers and rods can be positioned at a predetermined angle to the rods beneath. A kit is further provided for application of spacers and rods to preexisting antennas.
Broadband Circularly Polarized Patch Antenna and Method
An antenna for connection to a feed includes a substrate with a conductive ground plane. An emitter is positioned on the top face of the substrate, and the feed is connected to the emitter and ground plane. A spacer is positioned on the substrate above the emitter and one layer of high dielectric constant rods is positioned above the spacer. The rods are positioned in a single plane, coplanar with the emitter, and parallel to the dominant current distribution when the emitter is active. Further layers of spacers and rods can be positioned at a predetermined angle to the rods beneath. A kit is further provided for application of spacers and rods to preexisting antennas.

A compact Butler matrix consists a planar multilayer structure comprising N parallel metal plate waveguides PPW, stacked one on top of the other, two adjacent waveguides PPW comprising a common wall consisting of one of the metal plates. The couplers, the phase-shifters and the crossover devices of the Butler matrix consist of metasurfaces incorporated in the metal plates. The planar two-dimensional beam-former can comprise a Butler matrix with waveguides PPW associated with optical lenses incorporated in each waveguide PPW. Alternatively, the planar two-dimensional beam-former can comprise an upper stage consisting of a Butler matrix with waveguides PPW, and a lower stage comprising waveguides PPW equipped with incorporated reflectors, the two stages being connected in series.
