Smart ring for use with a user device and Wi-Fi network
A smart ring includes a battery, memory, processing circuitry, a plurality of sensors, a plurality of antennas, and a battery, each coupled to one another and all enclosed in a casing, wherein the processing circuitry is configured to conserve the battery by any of sending data to the cloud service when an application is open on the user device, sending data to the cloud service when a threshold is crossed, waking up processing or communicating when there is a change in motion detected by the accelerometer.
RFID INFINITY ANTENNA
An RFID antenna comprises two or more electroconductive sheets of uniform planar size, being parallel and aligned, with a space therein between. Each electroconductive sheet comprises: a feed connection point, which receives an electrical current from a feed to supply current to the electroconductive sheet; and a return connection point, opposite and parallel to the feed connection point of the electroconductive sheet, which acquires current from the electroconductive sheet and transfers current to a return. The electrical circuit pathway created from the feed to the return is equal distance for each electroconductive sheet. The two electroconductive sheets are connected together to complete a circuit that causes direction of electrical flow in the one electroconductive sheet to be opposite to direction of electric flow in the other electroconductive sheet.
Controllable Electrical Outlet Having a Resonant Loop Antenna
A controllable electrical outlet may comprise a resonant loop antenna. The resonant loop antenna may comprise a feed loop electrically coupled to a radio-frequency (RF) communication circuit and a main loop magnetically coupled to the feed loop. The controllable electrical outlet may comprise one or more electrical receptacles configured to receive a plug of a plug-in electrical load and may be configured to control power delivered to the plug-in electrical load in response to an RF signal received via the RF communication circuit. The RF performance of the controllable electrical outlet may be substantially immune to devices plugged into the receptacles (e.g., plugs, power supplies, etc.) due to the operation of the resonant loop antenna. For example, degradation of the RF performance of the controllable electrical outlet may be less when the controllable electrical outlet includes the resonant loop antenna rather than other types of antennas.
Dynamic Antenna Structure Tuning Mechanism
A dynamic antenna tuning system. The dynamic antenna tuning system includes: an antenna controller; and, a tunable antenna, the tunable antenna comprising a plurality of switches, the switches being controlled by the antenna controller to dynamically configure the antenna in one of a plurality of antenna geometry configurations.
CHASSIS ANTENNA
Examples are disclosed that relate to an antenna formed in a chassis of a device. One example provides a wireless device comprising a chassis and a chassis antenna formed at least in part by a dielectric gap between a body of the chassis and the chassis antenna, where a first end of the chassis antenna is defined by a cut-out in the chassis and where a second end of the chassis antenna being conductively connected to a body of the chassis. The wireless device further comprises a modem, and a coupled feed connected to the modem and capacitively coupled to the chassis antenna.
Antenna and mobile terminal
A mobile terminal includes a display, a side frame, a back cover and an antenna. The antenna includes a conductive support and a feeding part. The conductive support includes a first portion and a third portion disposed opposite to each other, and a second portion and a fourth portion disposed opposite to each other. The four portions are made of conductive materials and jointly enclose a cavity. The second portion is disposed on an inner side of the display. The third portion is a part of the side frame. The fourth portion is located on an outer side or an inner side of the back cover, or is a part of the back cover. A gap is disposed between the fourth portion and the first portion, or is disposed in the fourth portion, and the antenna can radiate electromagnetic wave signal through the cavity and the gap.
Apparatus for Antenna Optimization and Associated Methods
An apparatus includes a module comprising an antenna having at least one antenna component. The apparatus further includes at least one tuning component coupled to the at least one antenna component. The at least one tuning component is external to the module.
Method of Fabricating an Antenna Having a Substrate Configured to Facilitate Through-Metal Energy Transfer Via Near Field Magnetic Coupling
An electrically conductive material configured having at least one opening of various unlimited geometries extending through its thickness is provided. The opening is designed to modify eddy currents that form within the surface of the material from interaction with magnetic fields that allow for wireless energy transfer therethrough. The opening may be configured as a cut-out, a slit or combination thereof that extends through the thickness of the electrically conductive material. The electrically conductive material is configured with the cut-out and/or slit pattern positioned adjacent to an antenna configured to receive or transmit electrical energy wirelessly through near-field magnetic coupling (NEMC). A magnetic field shielding material, such as a ferrite, may also be positioned adjacent to the antenna. Such magnetic shielding materials may be used to strategically block eddy currents from electrical components and circuitry located within a device.
Antenna and methods of use for an implantable nerve stimulator
A pulse generator that includes a communications module is disclosed herein. The communication module includes a transceiver and an antenna circuit. The antenna circuit includes a first pathway having a capacitor and a second, parallel pathway including a capacitor, and a resistor, and a radiating element arranged in series. The antenna circuit is tuned to have a resonant frequency corresponding to a desired transmission frequency and a bandwidth corresponding to shifts in the resonant frequency arising from the implantation of the antenna.
System and method for tuning transistor-based non-foster negative impedance circuits for low-frequency antennas
A system and method for tuning a transistor-based circuit. The system includes a negative impedance converter circuit having a capacitor, a first transistor, and a second transistor. As a current travels through the capacitor, the first transistor and the second transistor each sample voltage at the capacitor and invert the voltage at an input of the negative impedance converter circuit. The negative impedance converter circuit also has a third transistor in series with the capacitor. The third transistor has a base voltage. Changing the base voltage of the third transistor changes the voltage sampled by the first transistor and the second transistor.
