In electrocardiography (ECG) system, a patient cable connecting one or more electrodes to a processing device for processing ECG signals may include one or more electrode connectors mechanically keyed to respective electrodes and/or a device connector mechanically and/or electronically keyed to a cable connector of the processing device. In some embodiments, keying between the cable and electrode is achieved, for example, with an electrode including a hollow-post portion that defines a bore in conjunction with a post protruding from an arm of the electrode connector that is sized to fit within the bore.

A power supply includes a cover body, a metal plate, a metal clip, a circuit board and a housing. The metal plate is partially disposed in a first space of the cover body. The metal clip is disposed in the first space and electrically connected to the metal plate, and includes an upper spring piece, a lower spring piece and a connecting piece. The connecting piece has a fixing portion corresponding to a gap between the upper and lower spring pieces. The circuit board includes an input portion and an output portion. The input portion is disposed in the gap, and has a protruding part for engaging with the fixing portion. The housing includes an output interface and an opening communicating with an accommodating space of the housing. The cover body is connected to the opening. The output interface is electrically connected to the output portion.

An electrode connector structure is electrically coupled with the cables and includes a body that is configured for forming an internal space. A cantilevered first arm has an end that cantilevers toward the internal space. The cantilevered first arm has a rest position and a flexed position. A stationary second arm and arm end extend into the internal space opposite the first arm. At least one of the ends of the cantilevered first arm and stationary second arm include an electrical contact. In the rest position, the end of the cantilevered first arm is positioned opposite the stationary second arm a first distance. In the flexed position, the cantilevered arm, moves away from the stationary second arm to separate the ends to a greater distance to receive the electrode and returns to the rest position to grip the electrode.

The invention relates to a contact element, made of an electrically conductive contact material. In order to provide a contact element which can be passed repeatedly and non-destructively through a housing or a seal of a plug connector in and/or opposite to a direction of insertion (E), a contact element is provided comprising a body extending in the direction of insertion (E) and a position securing element disposed on an upper side of the body, projecting upwards out of an opening in the body transversely to the direction of insertion (E), and that can be deflected elastically, the position securing element having a slope surface that is inclined against the direction of insertion (E), adjoining which, without any kinks or edges, are a curved section and an end section, and the end section ending with a free end within the cubature of the body.
