Battery connection device
A battery connection device for connecting to a vehicle battery includes a top member, a bottom member having a side wall and a bottom wall. The side wall, top member, and bottom member form a box-like enclosure. The bottom wall includes a through-hole with a circumferential face, an adapter member arranged inside the box-like enclosure extends at least partially through the through-hole for connection with the battery. A dimension of the adapter member is smaller than a dimension of the through-hole to form a gap between an outer face of the adapter member facing the circumferential face and the circumferential face, and flexible connection member connected to the adapter member and to the bottom member and closing the gap between the outer face and the circumferential face. The flexible connection member includes an electromagnetic shield for shielding electromagnetic radiation and a seal for sealing the gap against dust and/or moisture.
MAGNETIC COUPLING SYSTEMS
This patent pertains to magnetic coupling systems. One implementation includes magnetic jumper cables, which include magnetic couplers and elongate, insulated, electrically-isolated electric conductors.
BATTERY APPARATUS
A battery apparatus includes a casing and at least one first insert disposed on the casing. The first inserts has an electromagnetic shielding layer. The battery apparatus further includes at least one second insert disposed on the casing. The first insert and the second insert are arranged at intervals. The electromagnetic shielding layer of the first insert is electrically connected to the casing through the second insert.
HEADER CONNECTOR PIN ARRANGEMENT
A header connector includes a body, a staggered column of L-shaped connector pins of two different lengths extending in a same direction from a first side of the body, and a staggered column of mating pins on a second side of the body opposite the first side. Each one of the mating pins is connected with one of the connector pins.
TERMINAL FASTENERS FOR TRACTION BATTERIES
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a terminal fastener for electrically connecting a battery terminal associated with at least part of a traction battery to an electrical circuit of a vehicle, the terminal fastener comprising: a terminal engaging portion configured to engage with the battery terminal; a tool receiving portion configured to receive a tool to fasten the terminal engaging portion to the battery terminal; and insulation configured to cover at least part of the terminal fastener.
BATTERY SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A battery system for an electric vehicle, the battery system includes at least one high voltage component; and a touch protector, the touch protector being configured to protect a user from accidentally contacting the high voltage component, wherein the touch protector includes a pivotably mounted isolating flap, the isolating flap being pivotable between a blocking position in which the isolating flap blocks access to the at least one high voltage component, and an access position in which the isolating flap allows access to the at least one high voltage component, wherein the isolating flap is configured such that the isolating flap is pivotable towards the high voltage component from the blocking position to the access position in response to application of a predetermined force to the isolating flap.
Electrical interface assembly
An interface assembly includes an interface housing including a receiving portion arranged inside an interface cavity of the interface housing, for receiving an electrical contact element. The interface housing further includes at least two latches and an electrical contact element for transferring electrical power. The electrical contact element includes a busbar portion and a plug-in portion. The busbar portion includes at least two latching noses. Each of the at least two latching noses is assigned to one of the at least two latches to block a release movement of the assigned latching nose upon mating of the electrical contact element and the interface housing.
Wiring module
A wiring module to be attached to a plurality of power elements which store or generate power includes a bus bar connecting the power elements to each other or connecting the power element and a load to each other, an abnormality detection element detecting an abnormality of the power element, and an insulating protector holding the bus bar and the abnormality detection element. The insulating protector is integrally provided with a first holding shaft portion and a second holding shaft portion which position and hold the bus bar by fitting the bus bar there onto, and an element holding portion which position and hold the abnormality detection element by fitting the abnormality detection element there into.
Manual service disconnect for a battery system
An interconnect is disclosed that opens a battery circuit when an access cover is removed. The interconnect includes a single installed position, and does not include any throw positions to avoid ambiguity. The interconnect includes a conductive element that closes the battery circuit when the interconnect is installed. The access cover cannot be removed when the interconnect is installed, because the interconnect includes at least one mechanical feature that prevents removal of the access cover. In some instances, the interconnect is integrated into the access cover, such that when the cover is removed, the circuit is opened necessarily during removal. The interconnect interface may include blades, pins, or other electrically conducting elements. The interconnect is arranged in the battery system away from power electronics and other components that may interface to an electrical load, thus providing an added measure of safety when the access cover is off.
BATTERY CONNECTION APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
A battery connection apparatus for a vehicle including a cable terminal includes a terminal connection part provided in a tubular shape to be fitted to a circumference of a battery terminal protruding from a battery of the vehicle, the terminal connection part having an opening formed in a shape of being gradually widened between opposite ends thereof in a circumferential direction and male threads formed on an outer circumference thereof, and a fixing member provided to fix the battery terminal connection part in a state in which the battery terminal connection part is connected to the battery terminal, the fixing member having female threads, that correspond to the male threads, formed on an inner circumference thereof to be screwed to the outer circumference of the battery terminal connection part.
