The housing has a wire outlet side; a wire connected to an electrical connection point is led out of the housing from the wire outlet side; the locking mechanism may move to a locked position or a released position relative to the housing; at the locked position, the housing is fixed relative to another connector; and at the released position, the housing may be separated from the another connector.

A method and apparatus for securing an electrical connection formed by a mating structure including prongs of a male assembly and receptacles of a female assembly are provided. In certain embodiments, the electrical connection can be secured by frictional engagement between the plug and receptacle housings. This can be accomplished by forcing a wedge into an interface between the housings or expanding a locking element, such as an elastomeric ring, into the interface. Such locking and releasing of the secure connection can be actuated using a locking nut.

Rotation of the outer collar relative to the inner collar causes the at least one outer collar thread to rotatably engage the inner collar threads and the plurality of jaws to deflect inward such that the plurality of jaws engages and compresses the electrical outlet when the electrical outlet is connected to the electrical plug.

The retention assemblies further include a retention housing that is configured to couple to the adapter, where the retention housing includes one or more walls that define a back opening, a front opening, and an interior sized to receive the first end of the electrical cord. The front opening includes a portion having a dimension smaller than a dimension of the first end to thereby retain the first end within the retention housing.

The power cord can be disassembled and assembled only by rotating the rotating sleeve, and the operation is convenient, and the structure is simple.

The conductors are used to electrically connect with the four-phase power connective head, the breaker and the respective at least two power sockets.
