Temperature Monitoring Device
An electric vehicle supply equipment device includes a removable grid cord having an electrical plug and a device housed within the electrical plug. The device has a plurality of temperature sensing elements, a control module, and an electrical circuit electrically coupling the plurality of temperature sensing elements and the control module, the electrical circuit having an electrical power carrying conductor. The device further includes an in-cable control protection device. The control module communicates an indication of a temperature condition of the electrical plug to the in-cable control protection device via the electrical power carrying conductor.
Service switch for utility meter
A utility meter includes an electrical conductor portion, a service switch, and a heat sink. The electrical conductor portion provides electrical communication between a supply line terminal and a load line terminal, and the supply line terminal electrical communication an electrical source. The service switch is selectively operable to interrupt electrical communication between the supply line terminal and the load line terminal. The heat sink is in thermal communication with the electrical conductor portion to dissipate heat generated by a current passing through the electrical conductor portion between the supply line terminal and the load line terminal.
POWER EXTENSION CORD SOCKET
A power extension cord socket includes a first socket device and a control device. The first socket device has plural AC power sockets and AC power switches, and each AC power socket is provided for plugging an external load to forward mains electricity, and each AC power switch is connected to the respective AC power socket for controlling the open circuit or closed circuit of the AC power socket. The control device is coupled to the mains electricity and electrically connected to the first socket device. The control device has a leakage detection processor and a leakage power-off switch and uses the leakage detection processor to detect a current usage status of the first socket device, and turns on the leakage power-off switch in an abnormal status to stop each AC power socket from forwarding the mains electricity to the load.
Vital relay assembly for modular solid-state current-limiting
A relay assembly comprises a vital relay used in a vital circuit and configured to be rack-installed in an equipment room in a railroad case or a railroad housing for providing a modular solid-state current-limiting. The relay assembly further comprises a plurality of vital relay contacts to which a current flow is restricted by a single supply solid-state current limiter. The relay assembly further comprises a relay socket base assembly coupled to the vital relay. The relay socket base assembly includes a relay socket base including a plurality of vital relay contact prongs, a plug assembly including a plurality of printed circuit board (PCB) mounted contact terminals, and a plurality of contact terminals that provide a connection between the plurality of vital relay contact prongs and the plurality of printed circuit board (PCB) mounted contact terminals. The relay assembly further comprises an ancillary electrical control module.
Temperature monitoring device
A device comprises a plurality of temperature sensing elements and a control module. The plurality of temperature sensing elements are each arranged proximal to a respective current carrying blade of an electrical plug. The control module receives, from the plurality of temperature sensing elements, a plurality of temperature signals that each indicate a temperature associated with the respective current carrying blades of the electrical plug. The control module also determines a temperature condition of the electrical plug based on the plurality of temperature signals. The control module also communicates an indication of the temperature condition of the electrical plug via an electrical power carrying conductor that supplies electrical power via the electrical plug.
ELECTRICAL PLUG WITH REPLACEABLE SURGE PROTECTOR
An electrical plug provides protection against electrical surges with a replaceable surge protector cartridge that is readily removable and replaceable along an exterior of the plug. Surge protector circuitry in the cartridge can absorb an electrical surge received at the plug from an electrical mains source, and the electrical plug can maintain electrical continuity from plug prongs to an electrical cord both before and after the surge protector has absorbed an electrical surge.
ELECTRICAL CORD CAP WITH EASY CONNECT HOUSING PORTIONS
An electrical connector body is provided includes first and second housing portions formed from molded plastic. The housing portions include first and second interface surfaces that are configured to butt against one another to define a housing and one or more electrical components are disposed within an interior of the housing. The one or more electrical components may comprise connectors of a male or female cord cap, an in-line surge suppression circuit, and/or a compact automatic transfer switch. In one implementation, each of the first and second connector body portions may include a strain relief extension for engaging an electrical cord and a compression member (3691) may be disposed over the strain relief extensions to secure together the first and second connector body portions. The compression member may be selected from a set of compression members based on a size of the electrical cord.
PROTECTION CIRCUITS FOR UNTETHERED CABLES
Circuits, methods, and apparatus that can provide an untethered cable that can safely provide power using a variety of power adapters, can protect users from voltages at exposed contacts of a connector insert, and can disconnect from a power adapter when damage to the cable is detected.
POWER RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY
A power receptacle assembly includes a base unit which includes a housing. The housing includes a bottom housing, a housing cover coupled to the bottom housing and first and second end caps coupled to the bottom housing and the housing cover. The bottom housing, the housing cover, and the first and second end caps define a housing interior. The base unit also includes a constant voltage driver disposed within the housing interior. Additionally, the power receptacle assembly includes a plurality of power receptacles electronically coupled to the constant voltage driver though the housing. The power receptacle assembly also a secondary unit including a housing defining an interior, a sled coupled to another power receptacle configured to be disposed within the housing interior and a clamp.
