Connecting lighting to poles without tools
A street light has a pole of at least 6 feet in length, and has an electrical socket attached to an end of the pole. The socket includes a body having an interior, and a cover positioned on the body to cover the interior of the body. The cover has a ring-shaped openings providing passage into the interior of the body. Resiliently mounted electrical contactors are each positioned in the interior of the body and adjacent to one of the ring-shaped openings in the cover. A central bore extends through the body, and a ledge is positioned at the end of the bore to extend radially outward. The socket is connectable to a mating plug to mechanically and electrically connect a street light or other device to the pole. The street light can include sensors that are connectable using a similar socket and plug.
CONNECTING LIGHTING TO POLES WITHOUT TOOLS
A street light has a pole of at least 6 feet in length, and has an electrical socket attached to an end of the pole. The socket includes a body having an interior, and a cover positioned on the body to cover the interior of the body. The cover has a ring-shaped openings providing passage into the interior of the body. Resiliently mounted electrical contactors are each positioned in the interior of the body and adjacent to one of the ring-shaped openings in the cover. A central bore extends through the body, and a ledge is positioned at the end of the bore to extend radially outward. The socket is connectable to a mating plug to mechanically and electrically connect a street light or other device to the pole. The street light can include sensors that are connectable using a similar socket and plug.
Power supply socket for halogen lamp, and halogen lamp
To provide a socket for a halogen lamp, which allows easy attachment and removal operations, as well as enables stable contact between a lamp terminal and an external electrode terminal when the lamp is attached. The socket includes a first holder part having a first hole, a second holder part having a second hole, and a spring member accommodated at a position between the first hole and the second hole and having a third hole. The first hole, second hole, and third hole have a shape extending in a direction that is different from a direction in which the terminal is passed through. The terminal is turned after being passed through the holes, whereby the terminal moves inside the first hole, second hole, and third hole, and is fixed when the terminal reaches an outer edge portion of the third hole of the spring member.
Lamp base allowing for electrical contact in various rotational positions
The present invention relates to a screw-in type base for a lighting device being arranged to be mounted in a socket comprising a socket bottom conductor is provided. The base (100, 200, 300) comprising a threaded tubular enclosure (102) extending along an axial direction between a first (102a) and a second (102b) end portion of the enclosure (102), a base bottom conductor (103, 203, 311) arranged to be in electrically conductive contact with a light source (106) of the lighting device (400), and arranged to make electrically conductive, biased contact with the socket bottom conductor when the lighting device (400) is mounted in the socket, wherein the base bottom conductor (103, 203, 311) comprises a compliant thin-walled member (105, 205, 308) arranged such that the base bottom conductor (103, 203, 311) is, relative to the enclosure (102), movable in the axial direction in response to engagement with the socket bottom conductor when the lighting device (400) is mounted in the socket. The present invention also relates to a lighting device (400) comprising the base.
POWER SUPPLY SOCKET FOR HALOGEN LAMP, AND HALOGEN LAMP
To provide a socket for a halogen lamp, which allows easy attachment and removal operations, as well as enables stable contact between a lamp terminal and an external electrode terminal when the lamp is attached. The socket includes a first holder part having a first hole, a second holder part having a second hole, and a spring member accommodated at a position between the first hole and the second hole and having a third hole. The first hole, second hole, and third hole have a shape extending in a direction that is different from a direction in which the terminal is passed through. The terminal is turned after being passed through the holes, whereby the terminal moves inside the first hole, second hole, and third hole, and is fixed when the terminal reaches an outer edge portion of the third hole of the spring member.
ADJUSTABLE LAMP BASE
The present invention relates to a screw-in type base for a lighting device being arranged to be mounted in a socket comprising a socket bottom conductor is provided. The base (100, 200, 300) comprising a threaded tubular enclosure (102) extending along an axial direction between a first (102a) and a second (102b) end portion of the enclosure (102), a base bottom conductor (103, 203, 311) arranged to be in electrically conductive contact with a light source (106) of the lighting device (400), and arranged to make electrically conductive, biased contact with the socket bottom conductor when the lighting device (400) is mounted in the socket, wherein the base bottom conductor (103, 203, 311) comprises a compliant thin-walled member (105, 205, 308) arranged such that the base bottom conductor (103, 203, 311) is, relative to the enclosure (102), movable in the axial direction in response to engagement with the socket bottom conductor when the lighting device (400) is mounted in the socket. The present invention also relates to a lighting device (400) comprising the base.
