Frictional locking receptacle with programmable release
A method and apparatus for securing an electrical connection formed by a mating structure including prongs of a male assembly and receptacles of a female assembly are provided. In certain embodiments, the electrical connection can be secured by frictional engagement between the plug and receptacle housings. This can be accomplished by forcing a wedge into an interface between the housings or expanding a locking element, such as an elastomeric ring, into the interface. Such locking and releasing of the secure connection can be actuated using a locking nut.
MALE CONNECTOR AND FEMALE CONNECTOR
A female connector and a male connector are disclosed. The female connector includes a ring-shaped outer wall, a first terminal seat, a second terminal seat, and a third terminal seat. The male connector includes a front connecting block. A front end surface of the front connecting block includes a first terminal hole, a second terminal hole, and a third terminal hole. The first terminal hole has a first terminal supporting surface. The second terminal hole has a second terminal supporting surface. The third terminal hole has a third terminal supporting surface.
Connector assembly for electrical appliance and system and method including same
A connector assembly includes an electrical plug connectable to an electrical outlet, an inner collar, and an outer collar disposed radially outward from the inner collar. The inner collar includes a plurality of jaws disposed circumferentially about the electrical plug. Each jaw of the plurality of jaws includes threads defined along an outer surface of each jaw. The outer collar includes at least one thread defined along an inner surface of the outer collar. Rotation of the outer collar relative to the inner collar causes the at least one outer collar thread to rotatably engage the inner collar threads and the plurality of jaws to deflect inward such that the plurality of jaws engages and compresses the electrical outlet when the electrical outlet is connected to the electrical plug.
Compensating connector system
A compensating plug connector comprising a plug, a receptacle mating zone, a cable mating zone and an intermediate zone. Each of the zones is such that Near End Cross Talk (NEXT) resulting from transmission of the high frequency signal across each zone is below a specified amount chosen such that NEXT introduced by a high frequency signal transmission between via all the zones is below a level as specified for the cabling category.

Plug retainer apparatus and related methods
A retainer apparatus includes a post having a first end to be received by an opening of a wall plate cover of an outlet and a second end opposite the first end. At least a portion of the post has a plurality of grooves positioned between the first end and the second end. The plurality of grooves forming a retainer-receiving portion. A plug retainer is moveably coupled to the post. The plug retainer to slide along the retainer-receiving portion in a linear direction relative to the grooves when the plug retainer is moved relative to the retainer-receiving portion of the post.
Cable with Signal Detection Function
A cable with a signal detection function includes an insulating core, a second insulating layer, and a signal detection layer. The signal detection layer is for transmitting signal data. The cable further includes a second insulating layer, and plural signal detection layers provided for transmitting signal data. The signal detection layer and the insulating cores are disposed inside the second insulating layer, and the signal detection layer is cladded with plural insulating cores. If the first insulating layer in the signal detection layer is damaged, the signal detection layer will be electrically connected to the conductor assembly. The cable with the signal detection function can detect the abnormality of the insulating core through the signal detection layer to facilitate maintaining and repair the cable.
ELECTRICAL WIRING DEVICES WITH SCREWLESS CONNECTION TERMINALS
Electrical wiring devices that incorporate clamp-type wire terminal connections are described. The electrical wiring devices include for example, single and duplex blade-type electrical receptacles, blade-type locking electrical receptacles, single or multi-pole electrical switches, combination switches and blade-type receptacles, blade-type plugs for electrical cords and blade-type connectors for electrical cords. The electrical wiring devices include a plurality of contact assemblies. Each contact assembly includes a wire terminal and a plunger.
