Magnetic cable connection device and adapator

A cable connection device includes a cable connector and a magnetic switch. The magnetic switch includes diametrically magnetized first and second annular magnets juxtaposed in a longitudinal direction of the cable connector and extending around a longitudinal axis of the cable connector, and an annular magnetic guide of ferromagnetic material surrounding an outer periphery of the first and second annular magnets. The first annular magnet is fixed relative to the annular magnetic guide, and the second annular magnet is rotatable between ON and OFF positions relative to the annular magnetic guide. In the ON position the first and second annular magnets are magnetically aligned in the longitudinal direction, and in the OFF position the first and second annular magnets are magnetically inverted in the longitudinal direction.

An electrical connector includes: an insulative base; a fixed terminal secured to the insulative base; and a movable terminal including a securing portion fixed to the insulative base, a contacting portion in touch with the fixed terminal, and a tail opposite to the contacting portion, wherein the securing portion has a pair of side arms bent toward the fixed terminal and insert-molded with the insulative base.

Antenna connector with integrated coaxial 50-ohm radio-frequency switch

An antenna connector for a portable communication device including, in one implementation, a housing bracket, a core mounting member, a front mounting member, and a back mounting member. The housing bracket includes an antenna barrel that is configured to engage a ferrule antenna connector. The core mounting member includes a radio-frequency (RF) switch that includes a ground barrel, a first electrical contact, and a second electrical contact. The second electrical contact is configured to disconnect from the first electrical contact when a coaxial connector engages completely with the ground barrel. The front mounting member includes a front guiding section that is configured to connect with the core mounting member. The front guiding section is further configured to align the ground barrel with the antenna barrel. The back mounting member includes a back guiding section to keep the core mounting member connected to the front guiding section.
