An electrical connector strip is adapted for structural applications in theater, television and entertainment industries. The connector strip includes an elongated rigid enclosure defining a hollow continuous internal wireway receiving electrical wiring within an interior of the enclosure. At least one outlet pocket is formed in a side wall of the enclosure. A connector adapter plate is located in the outlet pocket and extends within the interior of the enclosure. At least one output connector is carried by the connector adapter plate, and resides within the interior of the enclosure with external access provided through the outlet pocket.

At least two cascaded chains of intelligent support boxes linked by optical cable provide the needed elements to link the electric AC power line and low voltage DC power lines to the many known outlets and switches (wiring devices) and their loads be it AC or DC operated, with the AC and DC lines are separately drawn through separated conduits and ducts safely and accurately controlled by an home controller and/or via a command converter and a distributor.

A flat wire assembly is positioned between retracted and extended states. The assembly includes an adjustable flat wire junction block having a main body. An extender extends outwardly from the main body. A cable which houses wires extends outwardly from the outer end of the extender. A cover plate extender is positionable between extended and retracted states. Sliders associated with slide brackets and associated with blade/wire connectors connect the flat wire blades to wires so that the positions of the sliders along the length of the flat wire blades are adjustable, thereby adjusting the length of the flat wire assembly. A cover and a base may be used to enclose the flat wire blades and the wires, and may be extended or retracted with the sliders sliding along the flat wire blades.

A power cable in-line power outlet (and associated method of use); said outlet including at least two sockets or slots for receiving power conducting pins of a plug of a powercord; said sockets or slots providing access to connector elements engaging with corresponding power conducting elements of said power cable; said power cable comprising an outer insulating sheath enclosing separate insulating sheaths of each said at least two power conducting elements; said power cable urged into cutting contact with said connector elements by rotation of a cam-lever from an initial non-contacting position to a position in which each of said power conducting elements of said power cable are in contact with said connector elements.

A connector-attached circuit body include a circuit body including a flexible substrate having a wiring pattern, and a connector attached to the circuit body and including a terminal and a housing that accommodates the terminal. The terminal is electrically connected to the wiring pattern and extends in a thickness direction of the circuit body.

An apparatus and a method for optically linking at least two AC and DC low voltage cascading power grids connecting at least two intelligent support boxes (ISB) each powered by two distinct AC standard power grid and separately powered by DC low voltage power grid with each grid is further linked by a cascading segments of optical cable grid, enabling two way control, operate and report electrical activity through plug in wiring devices (PWD) for supporting DC and AC plurality of connected/attached loads.

An apparatus and a method for optically linking at least two AC and DC low voltage cascading power grids connecting at least two intelligent support boxes (ISB) each powered by two distinct AC standard power grid and separately powered by DC low voltage power grid with each grid is further linked by a cascading segments of optical cable grid, enabling two way control, operate and report electrical activity through plug in wiring devices (PWD) for supporting DC and AC plurality of connected/attached loads.

In various implementations, a raceway may be provided that is capable of providing power and/or data connectivity to items (e.g., devices, articles of furniture, etc.) coupled to the raceway. The raceway may be low profile. The raceway may be disposed on floor and/or under floor. The raceway may include an integrated power housing. The raceway may include segments that are selected, as desired for an application configuration, and that are coupleable to each other or other components of the raceway (e.g., nodes, joints, etc.). The housing of component(s) of the raceway may include a base and wall(s) with at least curved section and at least one straight section.

A power distribution system includes a track having a first end, a second end opposite the first end, and a longitudinal axis extending through the first and second ends. The track defines a channel extending along the longitudinal axis. A plurality of power cables is positioned within the channel. The power distribution system further includes an electrical hub having a body coupled to the second end of the track. A plurality of wafers is supported by the body and stacked on top of each other to define a set of terminals. The set of terminals is electrically connected to the plurality of power cables. A power receptacle is supported by the body and electrically connected to the plurality of wafers.
