20200295477 · 2020-09-17 ·

A connection arrangement comprising an electrical cable and a contact element connected to a free end of an electrical conductor of the cable, wherein a first end section of the contact element penetrates an end face of the free end of the electrical conductor, and at least one region of the first end section of the contact element is directly connected to the electrical conductor with a material bond.

Connector

A connector having a contact made of metal, and comprises a pair of elastic arms adapted to clamp a conductor of a wire, so as to electrically contact the conductor. A first release structure is on one of the pair of elastic arms and a second release structure, facing the first release structure, is on the other of the pair of elastic arms. A wedge channel is defined between the first release structure and the second release structure when the conductor is clamped between the pair of elastic arms and the wedge channel gradually widens toward free ends of the pair of elastic arms. The pair of elastic arms are adapted to be expanded away from each other by inserting an external tool into the wedge channel, so as to release the clamped conductor, improving the use convenience of the connector.

Solder-less, crimp-less, over-molded signal cable

A signal cable comprising a plurality of plug parts forming a plug that is operatively connected to signal and ground conductors at one end of a coaxial cable, wherein the plug parts and the end of the coaxial cable are held together only by an insulating overmold material. The assembly has four operatively connected plug parts (12, 20, 24, 30); a signal conductor at one end (42) of a coaxial cable (40) conductively connected to one of the plug parts (12); and an overmold (54) encapsulating the end of the cable and a conductive connection between a cable ground sleeve and another plug part (30).

Electrical connector for unterminated cables

An electrical connector is provided. The electrical connector includes two or more electrically conductive prongs. Each electrically conductive prong may have a tapered distal end operable to axially contact a conductor of a cable when a force is applied to axially push the cable onto the two or more electrically conductive prongs. Each electrically conductive prong may have a proximal end operable to be electrically coupled to a respective connector conductor.

Right angle coaxial cable and connector assembly

Coaxial cable-connector assemblies include: a coaxial cable having: an inner conductor having a termination end including a bore; a dielectric layer that overlies the inner conductor; and an outer conductor that overlies the dielectric layer having a termination end; a right angle coaxial connector including: an inner conductor body with a post configured to mate with the inner conductor body of a mating jack, the inner conductor body further including a receptacle that receives the termination end of the inner conductor such that the post is generally perpendicular to the inner conductor; an outer conductor body configured to mate with the outer conductor body of the mating coaxial cable jack and electrically connected with the termination end of the outer conductor; and an expansion member inserted into the bore of the termination end of the inner conductor sized and configured to radially expand the termination end of the inner conductor.
