Prior to insertion into the recess of a crimping region, the axial ends of the plurality of electrical strands of the cable are fixed with a clamping tool so that the axial ends of the plurality of electrical strands protrude axially out of the clamping tool and the ends of the plurality of strands protruding axially from the clamping tool are sheared off in the transverse direction with a cutting tool so that a closed end face is produced at the axial end of the strands. The axial end of the plurality of electrical strands is inserted into the recess and the plurality of strands are welded to the contact piece by melting the closed end face arranged in the recess by radiation energy of a radiation directed onto the end face.

Systems and methods for an electrical connector (e.g., of a vehicle) include a housing and a terminal at least partially disposed in the housing, defining a set of angled blade terminals, and configured to electrically connect to (i) an electrical system along a first axis and (ii) a set of exposed conductive circuit traces of a flexible circuit (FC) arranged along a second axis, wherein an acute angle is defined between the first and second axes and corresponds to the set of angled blade terminals.

Biocompatible electromechanical connection for ceramic substrate electronics for biomedical implant

A biocompatible electrical connection includes: a substrate; a ferrule having a concentric flange at a first end of the ferrule; a first adhesive; and a second adhesive. The substrate includes a hole having a diameter that is a specified amount larger than an outside diameter of the ferrule forming an annular space between the hole and the ferrule, the first adhesive adheres a first surface of the concentric flange of the ferrule to a first surface of the substrate, and the second adhesive fills the annular space between the hole and the ferrule.

BIOCOMPATIBLE ELECTROMECHANICAL CONNECTION FOR CERAMIC SUBSTRATE ELECTRONICS FOR BIOMEDICAL IMPLANT

A biocompatible electrical connection includes a substrate; a ferrule having a concentric flange at a first end of the ferrule; a first adhesive; and a second adhesive. The first adhesive adheres a first surface of the concentric flange of the ferrule to a surface of the substrate. The second adhesive fills an annular space between a hole in the substrate and the ferrule. The first adhesive or the second adhesive forms a conductive path on the surface of the substrate between the ferrule and a circuit pattern on the substrate.
