Crimping machine
A crimping machine includes a storage arrangement having a plurality of feeding bowls for separated contact elements. The crimping machine further includes a device for transporting the contact elements to a crimp head. At least some of the feeding bowls are designed with a common vibration driver and can be driven via a common control unit.
STAMPED AND FORMED ELECTRICAL CONTACT AND METHOD OF PRODUCING SAME
An electrical assembly includes an electrical conductor having a planar portion and defining a bore hole extending through the planar portion and an electrical contact having a tubular portion disposed within the bore hole and a plurality of contact petals extending radially from the tubular portion. The plurality of contact petals are in electrical contact with the electrical conductor. A method of producing such an electrical assembly is also provided.
Crimp Terminal
An electric connector terminal assembly which allows numerous different terminal connector ends and wire diameters to be connected to a single size and type crimp cylinder using an rolled metal strip insert. Preferably, the metal strip is made of copper, and preferably the copper strip is coated with tin. The metal strip is then formed into a cylinder for insertion to the crimp cylinder. A method for connecting a crimp terminal to an electric wire is also disclosed. The method requires cutting a metal strip to form a plurality of parallel compliant members (e.g., fingers) connected to a base, rolling the cut strip to form a cylindrical insert, positioning the insert within a crimp cylinder of an electric connector with the fingers extending toward the mating end, inserting an electric wire within the cylindrical insert, and crimping the crimp cylinder to secure the electric wire within the cylindrical insert and crimp cylinder.
TERMINAL-EQUIPPED ELECTRIC WIRE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING TERMINAL-EQUIPPED ELECTRIC WIRE
A terminal-equipped electric wire includes at least one electric wire and a terminal including a wire barrel and installed on the electric wire. The electric wire includes a sheath; a conductor having a covered portion covered by the sheath and an exposed portion exposed due to absence of the sheath over a predetermined length at a part of the electric wire in a longitudinal direction of the electric wire; and a bonded portion formed over a predetermined length at a part of the exposed portion, the bonded portion at which strands of the conductor are bonded. An end of the wire barrel on a sheath side is closer to the sheath than an end of the bonded portion on the sheath side. The wire barrel covers at least a part of the bonded portion.
ULTRASONIC BONDING METHOD OF CONDUCTOR OF ELECTRIC WIRE, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING TERMINAL-EQUIPPED ELECTRIC WIRE, ULTRASONIC BONDING APPARATUS FOR CONDUCTOR OF ELECTRIC WIRE AND ELECTRIC WIRE
An ultrasonic bonding method of a conductor of an electric wire includes ultrasonically bonding strands forming a conductor of at least one electric wire using anvils and a horn. The anvils are arranged in a longitudinal direction of the strands.
TERMINAL CONNECTING METHOD
A terminal connecting method includes setting a conductor having a plurality of strands on an upper surface of a bottom portion of an electric wire crimping part of a terminal, caulking the conductor in a manner to cover the conductor, thereby crimping the conductor by a caulking portion extended from the bottom portion, and welding the plurality of strands together in a strands exposed portion of the conductor exposed from tip end edges of the caulking portion by friction between the plurality of strands and a friction tool, after caulking and crimping.
TERMINAL CONNECTING METHOD AND TERMINAL
A terminal connecting method includes setting a conductor having a plurality of strands on an upper surface of a bottom portion of an electric wire crimping part of a terminal, caulking the conductor in a manner to cover the conductor, and thereby crimping the conductor by a caulking portion and a connecting caulking portion extended from the bottom portion, and rotating and pressing a friction stir tool into a stir welding area in a part in which the conductor is crimped by the connecting caulking portion, and performing friction stir welding, after caulking and crimping.
JOINED PRODUCT OF CORE WIRE AND OBJECT TO BE JOINED, TERMINAL, ULTRASONIC JOINING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR JOINING CORE WIRE AND OBJECT TO BE JOINED
An object is to allow an end portion of a core wire including a plurality of element wires and an object to be joined to be joined with as high a joining strength as possible. A joined product of a core wire including a plurality of element wires and an object to be joined includes a core wire including a plurality of element wires, and an object to be joined (e.g., a terminal) that has been ultrasonically joined to the core wire while being stacked on the core wire. The distance between a part of the core wire that has been joined to the object to be joined and a part thereof located opposite thereto gradually increases toward a distal end side of the core wire, at least partly in a direction in which the core wire extends.
Rotary crimping tool assembly
A rotary crimping tool assembly includes a tool housing defining a crimping chamber, and one or more crimp wheels within the crimping chamber. The crimping chamber is configured to receive the portion of the structure in proximity to the crimp wheel(s). The crimp wheel(s) are configured to be pressed into and rotated relative to the portion of the structure to form one or more crimps in the portion of the structure.
TERMINAL BOARD FOR FASTENING ELECTRICAL LINES, AND METHOD FOR FASTENING ELECTRICAL LINES TO A TERMINAL BOARD
The invention relates to a terminal board for fastening electrical lines including at least one threaded hole so as to fasten a connecting element of an electrical line by way of a screw that can be screwed or is screwed into the threaded hole, wherein the terminal board includes a cylindrical insert having the threaded hole, and the connecting element and the insert are joined to one other by way of plastic deformation. The invention furthermore relates to a method for fastening electrical lines to a terminal board.
