Detection System
A detection system includes an imaging device and a control device connected in communication with the imaging device. The imaging device captures a 3D image of a connector including a housing, a terminal, and a cable. The control device calculates a height of a connection end of the cable crimped to the terminal relative to a bottom surface of the housing according to the 3D image.

A self-adjusting pliers-type crimping tool includes a crimping arrangement having movable and fixed levers that are pivotally displaced from an open condition toward a fully closed condition, thereby to generate a first crimping force for crimping an electrical contact upon a bare conductor. When the levers are at an intermediate position, a predetermined compensating energy from a caged spring assembly is released and is applied to the crimping arrangement to complete the crimping process. The spring assembly may comprise a stack of spring washers, a helical spring arrangement, or a stack of resilient elastomeric blocks.

A manufacturing method for an electric wire having a terminal includes a step of connecting a plurality of core wires by an ultrasonic connection process to form a connected core wire. In the step, the core wires are formed into the connected core wire having a cross-sectional shape having a width and a height in a plane orthogonal to an axis of the connected core wire, the width is not longer than a length obtained by subtracting two times a thickness of the terminal from a width of an arch groove of a crimper of a crimping apparatus in a state that a space between a support surface of an anvil of the crimping apparatus and the arch groove defines a predetermined crimped shape.
CRIMPING MEASURING DEVICE
The present invention relates to a measuring device for determining the height of a crimp in a crimp connector to a conductor, such as in a cable lug or ferrule. The Exmore CRIMPING MEASURING DEVICE is a crimp height and crimp width measuring system, developed for highly precise measuring of crimp contacts.
The invention is characterized by changes in the blade as used in a micro-metric measuring device. The measuring device according to the invention comprises a measuring knife comprising a resilient tool, further comprising a plate-shaped tool which is placed centrally in the measuring knife and which is placed perpendicularly to the orientation of the measuring knife. Measurement is performed manually and independent of any operator-related influences by way of centering unit. The Exmore CRIMPING MEASURING DEVICE simplifies the crimp height measurement process resulting in faster measurement time and improved consistency, acquired measured values can be read off, transferred via the serial interface or optionally printed.
Crimping tool
The invention is related to a crimping tool. The crimping tool includes a connection rod having one end pivotally connected to the first handle and the other end of the connection rod pivotally connected to a crimp section. A first screw rod is disposed at the second handle of the crimping tool. The first screw rod drives the connector which leads the first handle to displace. The movement of the first handle leads a connection rod to displace. As a result, the position of a crimp section on the first handle can be adjusted.
Terminal crimping machine having a wire clamp
A terminal crimping machine includes a termination tool having crimp tooling defining a crimping zone that receives the terminal and the wire. The crimp tooling is actuated during a crimp stroke to crimp the terminal to the wire. The terminal crimping machine includes a wire clamp holding the wire near the crimping zone. The wire clamp releases the wire prior to completion of the crimp to allow extrusion of the wire during the crimping process. Optionally, the wire clamp may release the wire prior to bottom dead center of the crimp stroke. The wire clamp may release the wire after the terminal partially retains the wire.
Crimping device with seal depressor
A terminal crimping device includes crimp tooling and a seal depressor fixed to the crimp tooling. The crimp tooling and the seal depressor move with a movable ram along a crimp stroke towards and away from a base that receives a wire assembly and a terminal thereon. The crimp tooling crimps the terminal to both a wire and a compression seal of the wire assembly during the crimp stroke. The seal depressor has a contact tab that engages and at least partially depresses the compression seal of the wire assembly during the crimp stroke to hold the compression seal in place as the crimp tooling crimps the terminal to the wire assembly.
Device and method for crimping connection elements, and crimping connection
A device (1) for crimping connection elements (2). The device (1) comprises a machine frame (5), at least one punch, a drive assembly, at least one anvil (17), and a working chamber (31). The punch (3) is preferably arranged in a movable manner in relation to the machine frame (5). The punch (3) contains at least one working surface (4) for deforming a connection element (2). The drive assembly for moving the punch (3) is connected to the punch. The anvil (17) is connected to the machine frame (5) and has a receiving surface (8) for the connection element (2). The working chamber is located between the punch and the anvil and is opened and closed by a relative movement between the punch and the anvil. The device has at least one sonotrode, by which the receiving surface (8) of the anvil (17) is supplied with ultrasound.
VISUAL CRIMP MONITORING
A method is provided for ensuring and/or checking the quality of a crimping using a crimping machine for crimping a cable with a contact sleeve and using a first optical sensor for detecting and/or recording first image data of the contact sleeve and using an evaluation electronics system. The method includes detecting the first image data of the contact sleeve by the first optical sensor; carrying out, via the evaluation electronics system, a first comparison of the first image data of the first optical sensor with first reference data of a predetermined contact sleeve; checking the first comparison for the presence of a predetermined first criterion; and, if the predetermined first criterion is satisfied, outputting a first signal. The detection of the first image data and the first comparison and the checking for the first criterion and the output of the first signal are carried out before the cable is crimped with the contact sleeve. A crimping machine suitable for carrying out the above method is also provided.
Crimping tool exchange device
A crimping tool exchange device exchanges a first crimping tool for a second crimping tool, wherein each crimping tool, when at a processing position in a crimping press, produces a crimp connection connecting a conductor end of a cable to a crimp contact. The device includes first and second exchange units retaining the first and second crimping tools respectively. When one of the exchange units is arranged in an exchange position the retained crimping tool can be moved in a first direction between the processing position and the one exchange unit. The first exchange unit is moved linearly from the exchange position in a second direction, and the second exchange unit is moved linearly from the exchange position in a third direction that is different from the second direction, the second direction being at an angle relative to the third direction.
