A modified and amplified beam to laser peen a target part may have an energy of about 5J to about 10 J, an average power (defined as energy (J) x frequency (Hz)) of from about 25 W to about 200 W, with a flattop beam uniformity of less than about 0.2. The diode-pumped solid-state oscillator may be configured to output a beam having both a single longitudinal mode and a single transverse mode, and to produce and output beams at a frequency of about 20 Hz.
Laser light source unit, and method for generating laser light for vehicles
A laser light source unit for vehicles is provided, having a resonator containing a first end mirror and a second end mirror and an active laser medium in between. The laser light source unit has a pump device for generating a pump radiation into the resonator. The pump radiation is configured such that laser light of the first wavelength, a second wavelength, and/or a third wavelength can be radiated. An intermediate mirror is configured so that the radiation of the second wavelength is reflected, and the radiation of the third wavelength is transmitted. A third end mirror is configured so that the radiation of the second wavelength is reflected. A color control module acts on the radiation of the second wavelength and/or the third wavelength so that an intensity of the stimulated emission of the radiation of the second wavelength is adjusted to the radiation of the third wavelength.
EXPOSURE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ELECTRONIC DEVICES
An exposure system according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a laser apparatus that outputs pulsed laser light, an illuminating optical system that guides the pulsed laser light to a reticle, a reticle stage, and a processor that controls the output of the pulsed laser light from the laser apparatus and the movement of the reticle performed by the reticle stage. The reticle has a first region where a first pattern is disposed and a second region where a second pattern is disposed, and the first and second regions are each a region continuous in a scan width direction perpendicular to a scan direction of the pulsed laser light, with the first and second regions arranged side by side in the scan direction. The processor controls the laser apparatus to output the pulsed laser light according to each of the first and second regions by changing the values of control parameters of the pulsed laser light in accordance with each of the first and second regions.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PULSED LASER BEAM CONTROL IN LASER SHOCK PEENING PROCESS
An apparatus is provided, the apparatus comprising: (i) a diode-pumped solid-state laser oscillator configured to generate a pulsed laser beam having predefined beam characteristics corresponding to a current setting selection of a controller; and (ii) an amplifier configured to amplify an energy and modify a beam profile of the pulse laser beam. A beam detector is coupled to the generated beam to monitor a combination of: (i) a beam pulse width; (ii) a beam diameter; and (iii) an energy level, and generates an error signal to be sent back as a feedback signal to the controller. The controller configures the current source to output a correction current to tune the DPSSL oscillator, the wave plate, and the first polarizer to rotate a correction polarization angle and adjust the energy amplification or temporal profile to within a defined performance tolerance.
