AUTOMATION OF THE MANUFACTURING OF ELECTRICAL PANELS THROUGH AN IDENTIFIED PROCESS
20230075920 · 2023-03-09 ·

The present invention relates to the field of electrical installations, and in particular to the automation of the manufacturing of electrical panels adapted to their environment. The components of the electrical panels of the invention are organised in separated boxes depending on whether they are supplied with high power or low power. The components are selected and organised according to their function and the family of equipment that they manage or power, in an identifiable way. This simplifies the maintenance work of the panel, and can be safely carried out even by an unqualified operator.

OFFSHORE SUBSEA POWER DISTRIBUTION

An offshore power distribution system includes first cables each having a first dry mate connection at a first end and each connecting to an offshore power generator unit at a second end, a subsea junction box at a sea floor, a second cable extending from the junction box to a subsea transformer station at the sea floor and connecting with the transformer station, and a third cable extending from the transformer station to an onshore receiver. Each first dry mate connection terminates in the junction box. The second cable has a second dry mate connection at an end thereof. The second dry mate connection terminates inside the junction box and is operatively connected to each first dry mate connection. The power distribution system is configured to transmit electric power from the power generator unit, via the first cables, the second cable, and the third cable, to the receiver.

A multi-function cabinet housing electrical equipment. The multi-function cabinet has four compartments. Each compartment is configured to house a different type of electrical equipment. The electrical equipment may be high-voltage electrical metering and distribution components, high-voltage control electronics, battery backup, wireways, low-voltage electronics, or a combination thereof. The multi-function cabinet contains wireways. The compartments of the multifunction cabinet are accessible using doors, which are fastened by locks. The cabinet contains a ventilation system with fans, vents, and filters.

Control panel module assembly devices and techniques

Systems, apparatus, methods, and techniques of assembly of discrete modules of a control panel are disclosed. The modules can be independently wired, tested, and installed into a control panel. Module definitions are defined specifying components to perform the electrical function, a mechanical arrangement of the components, electrical connections, and logical interactions of the module. A bill of materials can be generated based on a designation of a set of modules for a control panel and the module definitions. Modularly assembled control panels are disclosed. An assembly frame is described herein for temporarily mounting components of a module for independent assembly of a control module and for eventual removal and installation into a control panel frame. The assembly frame may include a faceplate frame and side frames and temporary mounting features.

Electrical connection enclosure

An electrical connection enclosure (100) is supplied with electrical power by power supply cables (102) and supply at least one electrical load (104). The enclosure comprises a power supply column (106) and at least one connection column (110). Each connection column comprises at least one monitoring-and-control unit (138) connected to an electrical load, electrically protected by a protection unit (140) and configured to allow the connection and potentially the driving and/or the surveillance of an electrical load. The electrical enclosure is controlled by an industrial computer (130). Each connection column comprises a communication module (134) which centralizes operating information originating from the monitoring-and-control units of that connection column, transmits this operating information to the industrial computer, receives commands originating from the industrial computer and transmits these commands to the monitoring-and-control units of that connection column. At least one communication module comprises a power supply board delivering at least one auxiliary voltage to each connection column

An electric power distributor comprises a distributor housing, conversion parts which convert electric current from outside of the distributor housing to low-voltage alternating current, a transformer which transforms the low-voltage alternating current from the conversion parts to high-voltage alternating current and a power transmission part which transmits the high-voltage alternating current from the transformer to the outward distributor housing. The distributor housing comprises two conversion parts—and the power transmission part—inside. The transformer is attached to the distributor housing from outside. The transformer and the power transmission part are placed along a predetermined direction in this order, the two conversion parts are placed along a direction approximately orthogonal to the predetermined direction at an opposite side to the transformer with regards to the power transmission part.
