Wire stripping die for crimping tool
A wire stripping die is configured to be coupled to a crimping tool. The stripping die includes a die body, a first ridge, and a second ridge. The die body includes a first side, a second side, and a groove extending at least partially between the first side and the second side. The groove extends along an axis. The first ridge protrudes from a surface of the groove toward the axis by a first distance. The first ridge extends along at least a portion of the perimeter of the groove and extends at least partially around the axis. The second ridge protrudes from the surface of the groove toward the axis, and the second ridge extends parallel to the axis along at least a portion of the groove.

Hook knife with integral guard
A hook knife, a method of using the hook knife, and a guard body are provided. The hook knife includes a handle and a blade extending from the handle. A guard body is coupled to the handle and disposed about the blade, the guard body defining a first u-shaped channel extending perpendicular to the blade, the blade being at least partially disposed within the first u-shaped channel.
CABLE JACKET CUTTING TOOL
A cutting tool includes a cutting head integrated into a handle. The cutting tool can be used to make a window cut in a cable jacket by sliding the cutting tool along the cable jacket. The cutting tool includes guide surfaces to control the cutting depth into the jacket and to maintain the blade edge at a predetermined depth until the end of the stroke. The cutting tool also may direct a scrap portion of the jacket out of the cutting tool away from the cable. The blade of the cutting head is angled relative to a cable guide channel and is easily replaceable.
Cable and Wire Scoring Tool for Jacket Removal
A tool for removing of one or more outer layers of a multi-layered jacketed wire includes a base member and a top member pivotally connected to the base member. The scoring tool has a first receiver recess on a first end of the scoring tool. A first cutter extends into a first receiver recess at a distance (d.sub.1) from an interior wall of the first receiver recess, and the first cutter is transversely oriented within the first receiver recess. A second cutter extends into a second receiver recess at a distance (d.sub.1) from an interior wall of the second receiver recess, and the second cutter is longitudinally oriented within the second receiver recess.

PAIR OF TOOL PARTS, METHOD FOR STRIPPING A CABLE, AND METHOD FOR CRIMPING A BLANK
A pair of tool parts which include a first and a second tool part, can be secured exchangeably in tool jaws of a hand-held tool and can be moved together by means of the tool jaws, for enclosing a cable, encapsulated with an insulating sheath, over a part of a length of the cable. A receiving region of the tool parts formed when moved together, encloses a semi-circular region of the cable in cross section with a longitudinal dimension and a transverse dimension remains for the cable in each tool part. The receiving region is penetrated by a blade and has an inwardly pointing clearance. A plurality of blades are configured in each tool part, and the blade tips run in accordance with a helical line when the tool parts are moved together. Methods for stripping a cable are also provided.
