CABLE ARMOUR STRIPPING UNIT
A cable armour stripping unit is provided, including a frame configured to accommodate a transmission cable having a plurality of armoured outer layers arranged about an inner sheath enclosing a plurality of conductors and to hold a cutter arrangement including at least one cutting tool arranged to cut into an armoured outer layer of the cable; a vertical feed arrangement configured to effect a translation of the frame relative to the cable, and a rotation arrangement configured to effect a rotation of the frame relative to the cable. A method of stripping armour from a transmission cable is also provided.
INSULATING-STRIPPING TOOL DESIGNED AS A HAND TOOL, CUTTING PART FOR AN INSULATION-STRIPPING TOOL AND METHOD FOR STRIPPING A CABLE
An insulation-stripping tool designed as a hand tool for stripping insulation from a cable has a first insulation-stripping cutter for stripping the insulation transversely to a longitudinal direction of the cable and a second insulation-stripping cutter for stripping the insulation in the longitudinal direction of the cable.
Cable stripping tool with offset roller system
A cable stripping tool for stripping the outer jacket of a cable having a length. The tool includes a tool frame having an elongated opening and a cable support disposed on the tool frame including at least one support surface for maintaining the cable in a relative position on the tool. The tool includes a roller assembly having an offset block movable along the elongated opening, a roller wheel rotatingly attached to an end of the block member adjacent the cable support and a loading knob attached to an opposite end of the offset block as the roller wheel. The tool includes a blade having a cutting edge extendable from the cable support surface toward the cable. The blade cutting edge may be rotatable between a first direction parallel to the cable length, a third direction perpendicular to the cable length and a second position between the first and third position.

CABLE STRIPPING KNIFE FOR RIBBON CABLES
A tool for stripping wire from cable, particularly flat cable. The tool has a handle, a slide having a free end that is movable relative to the handle, and a blade. The front end of the handle and the free end of the slide form two sides of a cable channel through which cable is pulled lengthwise to cut into an outer layer of insulation, one side being a guide groove where the blade is positioned and the other side a cable recess. The cable recess is specifically formed to prevent flat cable from twisting as it is pulled through the cable channel. Movable elements are provided in the cable recess that automatically adapt to the specific geometry of the cable, thereby changing the size and shape of the cable channel, depending on the cable, thus making the tool well-suited for cutting round cable, as well as flat cable.
