Resin Pot Component for an Inspectable Barrier Cable Gland
A resin pot assembly for use with a barrier cable gland is provided. The resin pot assembly is shaped and dimensioned to locate within an internal cavity of a cooperating barrier cable gland and has a closable end configured to seal onto a cable sheath of a cable in an installed condition. The resin pot assembly has two, coaxial components configured in the installed condition to surround a plurality of individually electrically insulated conductors extending out of the cable sheath. A first hollow component in the form of a clear cylinder provides the closable end of the resin pot assembly and a second hollow component, which is rigid, provides an pen end of the resin pot assembly and is axially spaced apart from the closable end of the resin pot assembly. The resin pot assembly operatively receives a resin mix therein.
WIRING MEMBER
A wiring member includes: a main line portion in which a plurality of electric wires are gathered; a plurality of branch line portions formed by branching the plurality of electric wires from an end portion of the main line portion; a water sealing portion that closes a gap between the plurality of branch line portions at a branch portion where the plurality of branch line portions branch from the end portion of the main line portion; and a resin portion molded to cover the water sealing portion in a state in which the resin portion is in close contact with an outer peripheral portion of the main line portion adjacent to the branch portion and outer peripheral portions of the plurality of branch line portions adjacent to the branch portion.
CABLE GLANDS
A sleeve (19) arranged to be slidably received within a passage (9) defined in a body of a cable gland (1), the sleeve (19) arranged to receive a settable sealing material for forming a seal to a cable passing through the sleeve, wherein the sleeve (19) comprises: an annular side wall (79) extending along an axial length and having a first end and a second end; and an end wall (100) capping the first end of the annular side wall (79), in which the annular side wall (79) and the end wall (100) define a void (106) within them into which settable sealing material can be received.
SEALING CABLES
A method of sealing a cable (10), the cable having at least one core (11) and at least one sheath (12) surrounding at least one core (11), the method acting to seal each core (11) relative to each sheath (12), the method comprising exposing each core (11) from each sheath (12) to form an exposed part of each core (11), with an unexposed part of a core (11) remaining with each sheath (12), positioning the exposed part of each core (11) and the unexposed part of each core (11) within a tube (1), and filling the tube (1) with a settable sealing material (6).
VIBRATION ABSORBING ASSEMBLY AND SERVER
A vibration absorbing assembly is adapted to be disposed on a cable. The vibration absorbing assembly includes a mount frame and a flexible covering component. The mount frame includes a first part and a second part. The second part is detachably assembled with the first part, and the first part and the second part together form an accommodation space. The flexible covering component is located in the accommodation space and pressed by the first part and the second part so as to surround a covering space. The covering space is configured to accommodate the cable.
Sealing device for a cold-end part of a thermocouple wire arrangement with a mineral-insulated cable and thermocouple
Various embodiments of the teachings herein include a sealing device for sealing a cold-end part of a thermocouple wire arrangement based on a mineral-insulated cable, the sealing device comprising: a sealing element including an electrically insulating material, the sealing element defining a through-hole for passing through a respective thermocouple wire of the mineral-insulated cable; a sealing ring arranged at an outer rim of the sealing element for fixing the sealing device to a sheath or a support tube of the mineral-insulated cable; and an electric temperature sensing element for sensing an absolute temperature of the cold-end part. The temperature sensing element has at least one temperature-dependent electrical property.
Apparatus for dispensing curable material into a cable gland
A dispenser apparatus (10) for dispensing curable liquid material into a space in a cable gland is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a housing (12) for separately storing of components of a curable liquid material and provided with a respective first outlet (14) for each component. A mixing chamber (16) mixes the components to cause curing of the curable liquid material and has an inlet (18) for receiving the components from the first outlets, and a second outlet (20) for the mixed components. A plunger (22) urges the components out of storage chambers of the housing via the first outlets and into the mixing chamber via the inlet. The dispenser apparatus is adapted to be located in a body of a cable gland such that the mixed components are dispensable from, the second outlet into a space defined by the body and a cable extending through the body.
Electrical Device and Method for Manufacturing an Electrical Device
Various embodiments of the teachings herein include an electrical device comprising: a cable wire; a cable insulation arranged around the cable wire such that a section of the cable wire at least partially longitudinally protrudes out of the cable insulation; a heat-shrink tube at least partially arranged around the cable insulation and at least partially around the section of the cable wire; and a sealing material at least partially inside the cable insulation thereby sealing any gaps between the cable wire and the cable insulation.
Sealing boots for protecting optical interconnections and related assemblies
The present disclosure describes sealing boots for protecting an optical interconnection. A sealing boot may include a main body having an interior cavity, the interior cavity having an annular recess adjacent to one end of the main body, the annular recess configured to receive a feature of a remote radio unit, and a neck merging with the opposing end of the main body and having a cylindrical inner surface that defines a bore that is continuous with the cavity of the main body, the inner surface having an inner diameter that is less than an inner diameter of the interior cavity of the main body. The sealing boot is configured to surround at least a portion of a fixed active optical connector when the fixed active optical connector is plugged into the remote radio unit.
