An adjustable depth electrical wall mount ring can include a base ring and a finishing ring. The base ring can be configured to be attached to a junction box. The finishing ring can be configured to be adjusted relative to a ring portion of the base ring to extend away from the junction box through a wall layer. Adjusting the finishing ring can cause one or more outward extensions on the finishing ring to bear on an exterior surface of a wall layer and thereby urge the junction box towards the wall layer.

An adjustable mud ring assembly is provided that includes a base plate, a movable ring, and an indexing screw configured to move the movable ring with respect to the base plate between a first position and a second position. The base plate has a junction box connecting portion, a support connecting portion, and a stationary ring. The base plate can have an offset distance (D.sub.2) between the junction box connecting portion and the support connecting portion where the offset distance is sufficient to allow the movable ring to move into stationary ring to the first position without protruding, at a lowermost point, into a junction box connected to the junction box connecting portion.

An electrical connection assembly includes an electrical box including a housing having an internal surface defining an internal volume of the housing. An electrical connector is positioned outside the internal volume of the housing and fixed to the housing with a fastener. The housing includes an aperture having an opening defining an insertion path extending from a location external to the housing along a frame of the electrical connector to a location within the internal volume of the housing. The assembly includes a disc mechanically secured to the housing relative to the opening to obstruct the insertion path. A retainer and a bushing including a membrane for the electrical connector as well as methods of making an electrical connector are also provided.

A modular power distribution system, comprising a client device configured to be inserted into a host device, and having a series of independently configurable electrical connections and predetermined electrical connections connecting the host device, the client device, and a cable to deliver power from the cable to a peripheral of the client. Electric boxes and hanging brackets and more particularly adjustable electric boxes with parallel rails for connection with reciprocal parallel grooves in a hanging bracket that is configured to connect to a support, for example, a wall stud.

A mounting bracket for electrical boxes that can include a mounting body with a plurality of mounting features. The plurality of mounting features can include a first set of mounting openings that can have respective elongate directions extending in parallel. The mounting body can have a mounting body axis extending across a shortest between opposing first and second sides of the mounting body. The elongate directions of the first set of mounting openings can be disposed at an acute angle relative to the mounting body axis. The first set of mounting openings can be configured to receive a plurality of fasteners to attach the mounting bracket to a first electrical box.

A junction box for electrical wiring includes a housing and a base plate. The housing is adapted to removably connect with the base plate to house the electrical connection. The base plate is secured to a support beam to provide stability to the junction box. The housing and the base plate are either of a unitary structure, or include tabs and/or attachment flanges that provide additional access and stability to the electrical connection, while reducing strain. The junction box may be secured to the support beam via a telescoping bar hanger.

A modular power distribution system, comprising a client device configured to be inserted into a host device, and having a series of independently configurable electrical connections and predetermined electrical connections connecting the host device, the client device, and a cable to deliver power from the cable to a peripheral of the client. A thermostat bracket assembly includes a bracket that has a first portion forming an angle with a second portion. The first portion can be mounted to a wall stud having the second portion oriented planar with a panel of sheetrock mounted to the wall stud. A pair of engagements is each integrated into the bracket and each of the engagements is aligned with an intersection between the wall stud and the panel of sheetrock. A thermostat wire is extended through a respective one of the engagements to inhibit the thermostat wire from being lost in the wall cavity.

A mounting assembly for an electrical box is provided, which includes a power socket, a bracket and a connecting member. The connecting member is configured to act on the bracket and the electrical box to restrictively mount the bracket on the electrical box. The bracket is provided with a plurality of connecting protrusions at intervals. The socket box is provided with a groove, and the plurality of connecting protrusions are corresponding to the groove. The connecting member is mounted on the groove of the electrical box, and a part of the connecting member in the groove successively penetrates through the plurality of connecting protrusions.
