Classifying and detecting foreign objects using a power amplifier controller integrated circuit in wireless power transmission systems
A wireless power transmitting system includes a power amplifier comprising a plurality of measurement points and a power amplifier controller integrated circuit (IC). In some embodiments, the power amplifier controller IC performs synchronization of the various components of the power amplifier, conducts impedance and temperature measurements at the measurements points, determines if a foreign object is within the transmission range of the wireless power transmitter, and decides if a shutdown of the power amplifier is needed. In some embodiments, the power amplifier controller IC determines through a transmitter controller IC, the presence of a foreign object within the transmission range and adjusts the power transmission to one or more receivers.
Method for responding to electrical power source request
A method of estimating power flexibility for a climate system includes receiving a component power flexibility measurement from one or more components of the climate system, and aggregating the component power flexibility measurement from each of the one or more components of the climate system to determine a climate system power flexibility. A method of responding to a fast demand request from an electrical power source for a climate system is also disclosed.
ENERGY OFFSET BENEFITS
An example operation includes one or more of determining a modified use of energy by an entity, based on a current environmental factor, and providing an energy offset to the entity based on the modified use. The offset derives an alternate benefit to overcome a negative balance by another entity.
Electricity meter with fault tolerant power supply
Techniques for implementing a fault-tolerant power supply are described. In an example, a system converts an alternating-current (AC) voltage to an initial direct current (DC) voltage. The system further converts the initial DC voltage to a first DC voltage and a second DC voltage. The system applies the first DC voltage to a high-priority device such as a metrology device. The system applies the second DC voltage to a low-priority or peripheral device. When the initial DC voltage is outside a voltage range, the system deactivates the second DC voltage to the lower-priority device and maintains the first DC voltage to the metrology device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR COORDINATING BIDIRECTIONAL CHARGING EVENTS BASED ON PREDICTED AND ACTUAL POWER OUTAGES
Systems and methods may coordinate and execute bidirectional energy transfer events between electrified vehicles and other devices or structures. Weather related data and/or grid related data may be leveraged for predicting the likelihood of power outage conditions of a grid power source. When power outage conditions are likely, a charging storage limit of a traction battery pack of the electrified vehicle may be automatically increased. The increased charging storage limit temporarily increases the energy storage capacity of the traction battery pack in anticipation of expected power outage conditions, thereby better preparing the traction battery pack for use as a backup power source during the power outage conditions.
Coherent power management system for managing clients of varying power usage adaptability
Systems and methods are disclosed for allocating and distributing power management budgets for subsystems (e.g., power usage clients) of a computer system. A power budget allocation subsystem may include a plurality of feedback branches having different associated time constants. Power usage clients with slower power response times may be provided power budgets based on a feedback branch having an associated longer time constant, while power usage clients with faster power response times may be provided with power budgets based on a feedback branch having an associated shorter time constant. The power budgets may be determined in the feedback branches based on power budgeting policies weighting the power budget of each subsystem relative to total power mitigation.
System for Regulating Device Charge Depending on Fitness Metrics
This invention is used to control the duration of time it takes to charge any device, depending on how many units the user has taken out of their fitness goal. This invention connects to a fitness device such as a smart watch and retrieves the amount of units the user has completed. Being conditional on how many units the user has taken, the device will either charge at a normal pace or proportionally slower. For example, if the user's daily goal was 10,000 units and they completed 5,000 units, their device would charge half its normal pace. This invention charges the device more slowly by pausing the charges for periods of time.
SYSTEM, VEHICLE, DISCHARGE METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A system according to the present invention comprises: a power source which generates a first low voltage from a supplied high voltage; a capacitor which suppresses fluctuations in the high voltage; and a first device which operates by using the first low voltage as an electric power source and which increases its own current consumption when supply of the high voltage to the power source has stopped.
