POOL AND SPA ENERGY DEMAND RESPONSE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A pool automation system is connectable with one or more pieces of equipment associated with a swimming pool or spa. The pool automation system may receive a demand event with a requested load reduction, and the pool automation system may determine a demand response for the one or more pieces of equipment associated with the swimming pool or spa based on the demand event and based on information gathered by the pool automation system about the at least one piece of equipment. The demand response may be based on a prioritization of the one or more pieces of equipment associated with the swimming pool or spa. The pool automation system may implement control of the one or more pieces of equipment associated with the swimming pool or spa responsive to the demand event.
WIND TURBINE POWER PLANT WITH POWER SAVING CONTROL METHOD
Methods and apparatus for reducing peak power consumption of a grid connected power plant having a plurality of wind turbines. In response to determining that a power production value of the power plant is below a power threshold, one method includes: after a first time delay of a first group of one or more wind turbines, control the first group to operate in a power saving mode for a predefined first power saving period; and after a first time delay of a second group of one or more other wind turbines, control the second group to operate in the power saving mode for a predefined second power saving period. The first time delay of the first group is less than the first time delay of the second group and the power saving mode inhibits a power consuming activity for the wind turbines operating in the power saving mode.
Methods and systems for adjusting power consumption based on a dynamic power option agreement
Examples relate to adjusting load power consumption based on a power option agreement. A computing system may receive power option data that is based on a power option agreement and specify minimum power thresholds associated with time intervals. The computing system may determine a performance strategy for a load (e.g., set of computing systems) based on a combination of the power option data and one or more monitored conditions. The performance strategy may specify a power consumption target for the load for each time interval such that each power consumption target is equal to or greater than the minimum power threshold associated with each time interval. The computing system may provide instructions the set of computing systems to perform one or more computational operations based on the performance strategy.
Method and apparatus for dynamically controlling electrical loads, storage medium and electronic apparatus
Provided are a method and apparatus for dynamically controlling electrical loads, a storage medium and an electronic apparatus. The method includes that: a current capacity balance of a user sub-region is acquired from an intelligent electricity monitoring and metering terminal through a mobile terminal; when the current capacity balance is smaller than a load power of an electric consumption device to be started in the user sub-region, a regional coordination control apparatus or a server is requested through the mobile terminal to adjust and increase a capacity allocated for the user sub-region, such that a capacity balance will be greater than or equal to the load power; and whether to allow to start the electric consumption device is determined according to a decision replied by the regional coordination control apparatus or the server.
System state estimation with asynchronous measurements
The present disclosure provides techniques for estimating network states using asynchronous measurements by leveraging network inertia. For example, a device configured in accordance with the techniques of the present disclosure may receive electrical parameter values corresponding to at least one first location within a power network and determine, based on the electrical parameter values and a previous estimated state of the power network, an estimated value of unknown electrical parameters that correspond to a second location within the power network. The device may further cause at least one device within the power network to modify operation based on the estimated value of the unknown electrical parameters. The leveraging of network inertia may obviate the need for probabilistic models or pseudo-measurements.
Design, deployment, and operation of modular microgrid with intelligent energy management
A rapidly deployable modular microgrid including a plurality of renewable and other energy generation technologies, energy storage technologies, energy distribution networks, and intelligent control systems capable of managing the flow of electrical energy between one or more locations of energy generation, storage, and consumption are disclosed. The aforementioned microgrid may be delivered and rapidly deployed to provide primary or secondary electricity for a variety of purposes; including but not limited to household electrification, commercial or industrial productivity, grid resiliency, water pumping, telecommunication systems, medical facilities, and disaster relief efforts.
CONTROL DEVICE AND ASSOCIATED CONFIGURATION METHOD
Disclosed is a control device for transmitting a control signal to a receiver device in a home-automation installation, comprising a wireless transmitter/receiver configured to receive an incident signal originating from a transmission device, an actuating unit configured to receive a configuration instruction, a processing logic unit suitable for deciding on the transmission of the control signal by the wireless transmitter/receiver, and configured to receive a configuration instruction originating from the actuating unit; and generating at least one configuration message to be transmitted to the receiver device; the wireless transmitter/receiver also being configured to transmit the at least one configuration message to the receiver device.
System and method for managing vehicle charging stations
A system and method for managing vehicle charging stations such that when at least two of a plurality of electric vehicle charging stations (also known as electric vehicle service equipment, or EVSE) occupied with vehicles awaiting a charge, the present system manages the charging of individual vehicles in cases where the aggregated demand for charging exceeds the capacity of the circuits supplying the plurality of EVSE. By cycling so that only a few of the vehicles are charging at a time, the demand on the circuits is kept below a predetermined limit. In cases where a load shedding event is in progress, the limit can be further reduced. In cases where the cost of electricity is varying dynamically, the system considers a driver's explicit charging requirements (if any) and preferences for opportunistic charging when the price of electricity is not too high.
Method and system for power balancing
The present invention relates to a method for power balancing a power grid (10) having multiple phases (12:1,2 3) and a common ground (0). The power grid (10) is connected to at least one load (13, 17) causing a non-uniform power consumption between the multiple phases (12: 1, 2, 3) of the power grid (10). The method comprises: monitoring power provided to the power grid (10) in controller (18), storing available energy in the power grid (10) in an energy storage (16) using multiple inverters (I1, I2, I3), each inverter (I1, I2, I3) is connected between the energy storage (16) and each phase (12: 1, 2, 3) of the power grid (10), and redistributing power between phases (12: 1, 2, 3) based on power available in the energy storage (16) by controlling power flow through the inverters (I1, I2, I3) by the controller (18) based on the non-uniform power consumption.
