Dual-use power beaming system
A dual-use electromagnetic beam system may be used as a remote power delivery system when not needed as an offensive weapon. For example, a system for disabling or destroying uncooperative or enemy assets such as UAVs or ground vehicles may be used during “down time” to provide power to assets that are separated from prime power sources by distance or by logistics.

Wireless Optical Communication Method and Related Apparatus
A network device generates first resonant light used to carry information; and the network device sends the first resonant light to a terminal by using a resonant cavity component, where the resonant cavity component of the network device and a resonant cavity component of the terminal form an open resonant cavity. In wireless optical communication, an information transmission rate can be greatly improved by using a resonant light multiplexing technology. This application further discloses a network device and a terminal that can implement the foregoing wireless optical communication method.

Illuminated feedneck
An illuminated feedneck may be utilized in a toy blaster, laser tag gun, airsoft or other toy gun, and the like to illuminate ammunition, such as Gellets, for use in non-daylight hours or indoors. A feedneck may be illuminated through ultraviolet light that may be powered through batteries and/or one or more other forms of power. The illuminated feedneck may charge ammunition through a series of specialty UVA (˜400 nM) wavelength light emitting diodes (LEDs) that safely become illuminated with a long-lasting and bright green glow. The ammunition may be infused to create a glow-in-the dark tracer effect as they are powered and pass through the illuminated feedneck.

Power-over-fiber system and method for operating a power-over-fiber system
The invention relates to a power-over-fiber (PoF) system, comprising: an optical source configured to generate an optical signal, wherein the optical signal comprises an intensity modulation; an optical fiber configured to receive the optical signal from the optical source and to guide the optical signal; an optical sink, which is configured to receive the optical signal from the optical fiber and to convert the optical signal into an electrical signal; a detection unit, which is configured to detect at least one characteristic of the electrical signal, wherein the characteristic is at least partially caused by the intensity modulation of the optical signal; and a control unit, which is configured to control the optical source based on the detected characteristic.
Wireless Power Distribution Systems and Methods
Apparatus, methods and systems of wireless power distribution are disclosed. Embodiments involve the redirection of collimated energy to a converter, which stores or converts the energy into a more suitable form of energy for at least one specific point-of-use that is coupled to the converter.
Technology and technique to prevent, diminish or interfere with the formation of hurricanes on earth from one or more platforms in space
Solar radiation is collected and converted to microwave energy by means maintained in outer space on one or more platforms in space. The microwave energy is then transmitted to earth and directed to and constantly focused on one or more segments of a generally circular and slowly rotating tropical depression, which is a precursor to a tropical storm and then a hurricane (alternatively called a cyclone or typhoon). The focused microwave energy interrupts the cycle of vertical upward and downward movement of air, water, & water vapor, and destabilizes the developing rotational motion of the tropical depression, causing it to break up and dissipate, and preventing it from ultimately developing into a hurricane. When not focusing microwave energy on a tropical depression, the microwave energy can alternatively be used to create earth based solar energy, which would help alleviate costs of operating the system solely for hurricane prevention.
