POWER STORAGE PACK AUTHENTICATION METHOD, POWER STORAGE PACK, CHARGING DEVICE, ELECTRIC MOBILE BODY, AND ELECTRIC MOBILE BODY CONTROL DEVICE
20230050076 · 2023-02-16 ·

A first power storage pack wiredly transmits identification information retained in the first power storage pack to a charging device when the first power storage pack is detached from an electric movable body. The charging device wiredly transmits the identification information received from the first power storage pack to a second power storage pack. The controller of the second power storage pack transmits via near-field communication a signal including the identification information received from the charging device. The electric movable body collates whether or not the identification information included in the received signal matches the identification information retained in the first power storage pack.

A power reception apparatus performs device authentication on a power transmission apparatus, and performs control to request first power of the power transmission apparatus in a case where the power transmission apparatus fails the device authentication and to request second power higher than the first power of the power transmission apparatus in a case where the power transmission apparatus successfully passes the device authentication. In addition, the power reception apparatus sets a setting to permit requesting the second power of a power transmission apparatus which does not have a function for responding to the device authentication.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING BATTERY CHARGER CABINET
20230040972 · 2023-02-09 ·

The present application describes systems and methods for authenticating rechargeable batteries in a rechargeable battery cabinet. The rechargeable battery cabinet may be a part of a large, scalable, distributed network of rechargeable battery cabinets, in which rechargeable battery cabinets may be removed or added based on consumer demand for fresh batteries. The system and methods may track the rechargeable batteries and where they are located in the rechargeable battery cabinets by first assigning a dynamic identification number, such that a rechargeable battery compartment does not need a static identifier. The system and method may allow for real-time reading of the status of rechargeable battery cabinets and rechargeable batteries in the system. Each rechargeable battery may have a static identifier to uniquely identify the rechargeable battery. This system and method allows for efficient scaling and identification of rechargeable battery within the system.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DELIVERING POWER TO A PORTABLE DEVICE

A method and system for controlling power delivery to an electronic device having default and proprietary power modes. A default power delivery protocol between the power delivery adapter and the electronic device is completed upon connecting the power delivery adapter to the electronic device. When a proprietary power mode is available, it is verified and communicated to the power delivery adapter, wherein the power delivery adapter delivers power to the electronic device according to the proprietary power mode. When a proprietary power mode is not available, the power delivery adapter continues to deliver power in the default mode.

Bidirectional charging method and device, terminal and storage medium

A charging device, implemented by a first terminal, includes a transceiver, a voltage converter, and a power supply. The voltage converter is connected with the transceiver and the power supply, and is configured to step up a voltage output by the power supply and provide the stepped up voltage for the transceiver when the first terminal supplies power, and to step down a voltage input by the transceiver and supply the stepped down voltage to the power supply when the first terminal is charged. The transceiver is configured to send a wireless charging signal out based on the voltage stepped up by the voltage converter when the first terminal supplies power, and to receive a wireless charging signal and convert the received wireless charging signal into an input voltage to transmit the input voltage to the voltage converter when the first terminal is charged.

Storage and charging system for dispensing tablets

A charging and storage system provides a conveyor system within a housing that conveys electronic devices through the housing to charging devices located withing the housing. Charging contacts on an adjustment arm adjust between a charging position that charges the electronic devices and a transport position that allows movement of the electronic devices through the housing without contacting the charging contacts. A charging device located at each charging location charges the device while the device is stored within the housing. The conveyor system moves the electronic devices to these fixed charging locations to charge the devices while storing the devices. The conveyor system releases the electronic devices to an exit ramp that guides the electronic devices to a release aperture for removal from the housing.

Apparatus and method for transmitting or receiving data in wireless power transmission system

The present application describes a wireless power reception device comprising: a power pickup circuit configured to receive, from a wireless power transmission device, a wireless power generated on the basis of magnetic coupling in a power transmission phase; and a communication and control circuit configured to transmit, to the wireless power transmission device, a configuration packet including first dual data stream information, or to receive, from the wireless power transmission device, a capability packet including second dual data stream information. Upper layer data can be effectively exchanged by clearly recognizing whether the upper layer data is bidirectionally transmitted between the wireless power transmission device and the wireless power reception device, and accuracy of power loss and saving of processing resources can be achieved by synchronizing the timing of calculating the power loss between the wireless power transmission device and the wireless power reception device.

A power transmitting apparatus that transmits power to a power receiving apparatus executes intermittent wireless transmission of power. The power transmitting apparatus operates according to one of a first power transmitting method including detecting a signal load-modulated by the power receiving apparatus using an ID in response to the transmitted power during the intermittent transmission and a second power transmitting method including transmitting the power having modulated the power according to an ID determined in advance so that the power receiving apparatus detects the ID determined in advance.

ENSURING BACKWARD COMPATIBILITY IN BATTERY AUTHENTICATION APPLICATIONS
20180006473 · 2018-01-04 ·

A system and method to identify whether a removable battery pack inserted into a battery-powered device is an authorized battery pack for the device. Battery-powered devices may include a battery-powered drill, saw, flashlight or other type of device. The battery-powered device may send an authentication query to the battery pack. If the battery-powered device does not receive a valid reply from the battery pack, the battery-powered device may verify that the battery-powered device is still within a phase-out period that allows the battery-powered device to use a battery pack with an invalid authentication. If the phase-out period has expired, the battery-powered device may disable the use of the battery pack with an invalid authentication. If the phase-out period is still running, the battery-powered device may allow the use of the battery pack with an invalid authentication, but only for a limited number of battery pack recharge cycles.
