The present invention is an electric vehicle wherein the vehicle is powered by an internal generator rather than the traditional method of plugging in to charge the electric battery. The internal generator is made up of an alternator and a regulator which control the flow of electricity to the battery of the car. The battery of the car will only need to be charged once at the beginning of use or first time use of the vehicle and then will obtain power from the internal generator.

An energy and supply system includes a switching device, a battery detection device, a speed detection device, a processing device, a main storage battery and a backup storage battery. Using the speed detection device, the processing device determines whether the driving speed of the vehicle exceeds a preset speed threshold, or it determines whether the rotation speed of the engine exceeds a preset rotation speed. The processing device uses the battery detection device to determine whether the main battery capacity is greater than the preset capacity. If the processing device determines that the driving speed of the vehicle exceeds a preset speed threshold, or it determines that the rotation speed of the engine exceeds a preset rotation speed, and it determines that the main battery capacity is greater than the preset capacity, the processing device controls the switching device.

A drive system comprises a DC-DC converter that is arranged to receive an input voltage from a battery having a nominal battery voltage. The DC-DC converter has a first mode of operation in which the DC-DC converter generates a regulated output voltage from the input voltage and supplies the regulated output voltage to a load, and a second mode of operation in which the DC-DC converter is by-passed such that the input voltage from the battery is supplied to the load. A controller is arranged to compare the input voltage to a threshold voltage that is less than the nominal battery voltage. The controller operates the DC-DC converter in the first mode when the input voltage is less than the threshold voltage, and operates the DC-DC converter otherwise.

Disclosed is a system for dramatically increasing the capacity of onboard power source through internal electricity generation. The internal electricity generation is accomplished using a propulsion device connected to a shaft. A shaft contains wire winding on its opposite end that are embedded within a stator winding. Thus, the motion of the propulsion device create the rotation necessary to create current within the stator and enables an onboard power source to be recharged therefrom.

AUTOMOTIVE POWER SUPPLY DEVICE AND POWER BOX

An automotive power supply device includes first and second batteries, first and second load groups, a plurality of fuses interposed between the first and second batteries and the first and second load groups, and instantaneous interruption prevention devices. First and second redundant system loads that complement operation of each other are allocated to the first and second load groups. The instantaneous interruption prevention devices are connected to the first and second load groups, and prevent an instantaneous interruption of electric power supplied to at least any of the first and second load groups when one or more fuses are blown.

Battery charging systems and methods

A battery charging system of an electronic device includes: a battery having a first nominal voltage and including: battery cells each having a second nominal voltage that is less than the first nominal voltage; and electrical connectors that electrically connect ones of the battery cells to provide the battery with the first nominal voltage; a first charge port configured to electrically connect to a first type of connector; a charging module configured to: receive power via the first charge port; and when a voltage of the received power is less than the first nominal voltage at least one of: charge ones of the battery cells individually; and charge groups of two or more of the battery cells.
