Blower motor for HVAC systems
A blower motor assembly having a variable speed motor that is suitable for replacing a PSC motor in a residential HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system. The blower motor assembly includes a variable speed motor and motor controller; a first power input for receiving a plurality of AC power signals from a control device for use in determining an operating parameter for the motor; and a second power input for receiving AC power from an AC power source for powering the motor controller even when no AC power signals are received by the first power input.
Cargo handling system
Disclosed is a cargo handling system, and a power drive unit (PDU) for a cargo handling system, wherein the PDU comprises a permanent magnet motor (PMM) and is designed to provide a first static restraint braking function effectuated by designing the PMM to have a high cogging torque, and a second dynamic control braking function effectuated by motor regeneration.
BRUSH HOLDER APPARATUS, BRUSH ASSEMBLY, AND METHOD
Devices and methods of use for brush holder assemblies are disclosed. Brush holder assemblies including a mounting block and a brush holder are disclosed. Also illustrated is a brush holder assembly including a first portion in sliding engagement with a second portion. In some embodiments the brush holder includes a channel, such that at least a portion of the mounting block is disposed within the channel of the brush holder.
Motor housing having conical shaped ends with various dimensional ratios and slopes for a stator in an avionics cabin air compressor
A motor housing for a cabin air compressor includes a central body portion having a center wall thickness and an internal cavity that is configured to receive an electric motor, a first end portion having a second internal cavity that is configured to receive a first end winding of the stator, and a second end portion having a third internal cavity configured to receive a second end winding of the stator. A ratio of a wall thickness of either of the first or the second end portions to the motor wall thickness is at least greater than 1.68 to 1.
ELECTRIC MACHINE, LOCK AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
An electric machine is provided. The machine includes a housing and a coil operably connected to the housing. The machine also includes a rotor. The rotor is rotatably secured to the housing and defines a first end of the housing which extends outwardly from a first end of the housing. The machine also includes a locking mechanism connected to the housing and selectively connected to the rotor. The locking mechanism is adapted to selectively provide a first mode in which the rotor may rotate relative to the housing and a second mode in which the rotor may not rotate relative to the housing.
Method and kit for upgrading a generator to enhance operation of the generator
In certain exemplary embodiments, a generator field upgrade kit includes a design modification package configured to be installed in a generator field of a generator as a retrofit to mitigate damage of the generator field due to high cyclic duty of the generator. The design modification package includes a plurality of individual modifications that are selectable based on specific operational and performance parameters of the generator.
Controller-integrated electric rotating machine with brush restricting elements and assembling and disassembling methods of the same
In a controller-integrated electric rotating machine configured to assemble a front side semi-manufactured assembly E formed from an electric rotating machine main body 1 and a front bracket 4 with the rear side semi-manufactured assembly D to which a rear bracket 5, a control unit assembly A, a power unit assembly B, and a brush unit assembly C are integrated, a series of brush restricting pin insertion holes 24 are disposed from a rear side end surface of the control unit assembly through the brush, and therefore assembling workability is improved without failures in assembling work which occur due to breaking away of a brush from a brush holder to the rotary shaft side.
METHOD OF MOUNTING ATTACHMENT PARTS TO AN ELECTRIC MACHINE
In a method of mounting attachment parts to an electric machine, a rotor of the electric machine is non-rotatably supported in a bearing device. A stator of the electric machine is detachably secured in a predefined first installation position by a clamping device, and a first attachment part is mounted to the stator. The clamping device is then released, and the electric machine is operated as motor for a time period sufficient for the stator to rotate in relation to the rotor until reaching a second installation position. The stator is secured by the clamping device in the second installation position, and a second attachment part is mounted to the stator.
Synchronous generator of a gearless wind energy turbine
The present invention concerns a synchronous generator of a gearless wind power installation, comprising a stator and a multi-part external rotor. The invention also concerns a wind power installation having such a generator. Furthermore the present invention concerns a transport arrangement for transporting a synchronous generator of a gearless wind power installation.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SERVICING A ROTOR OF A GENERATOR USING A CARRIAGE STEERING DEVICE
A system and method for servicing a rotor of a generator are presented. The system includes a carriage for carrying the rotor. At least one carriage steering device are arranged on the carriage for steering the carriage when traversing along a removal skid during servicing the rotor. The carriage steering device is attached to the carriage in a way that it is accessible from above the carriage. The carriage steering device is adjustable such that a center of the carriage aligns to a center rail of the removal skid when traversing along the removal skid during servicing the rotor.
