SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AN ELECTRICAL POWER SYSTEM USING A DYNAMIC REGULATOR MAXIMUM LIMIT

A method for controlling an electrical power system connected to an electrical grid having a generator and a power converter includes monitoring a speed condition of the electrical power system. The method also includes dynamically determining at least one regulator maximum limit for at least one regulator of the power converter based on the monitored speed condition. Further, the method includes operating the at least one regulator based on the at least one dynamic regulator maximum limit to avoid overmodulation of the electrical power system during high-slip operation and to improve sub-synchronous control interaction (SSCI) performance of the electrical power system.

A vehicle AC power generator includes a protection cover disposed at the rear side of a rear bracket included in a housing of the vehicle AC power generator, an attachment bolt that penetrates a through-hole formed in a bottom portion of a protection cover and is fixed to a portion at one axle-direction side of the housing, an output terminal bolt that extends from a rectifier, which rectifies AC electric power, toward the outside of one axle-direction side of the protection cover, and an insert coated conductor that is supported by the output terminal bolt and the attachment bolt and is provided at the rear surface of the protection cover.

A vehicle-use alternating current generator regulator includes an IC regulator wherein an IC chip is sealed with resin and a lead terminal for external connection protrudes from a sealing resin, and a regulator holder having a lead opposing portion that encloses an IC regulator mounting portion in which the IC regulator is mounted. A configuration is such that the lead terminal has a lead protruding portion protruding from a contact with the regulator holder, and the IC regulator is positioned by the lead protruding portion being fitted into the lead opposing portion of the regulator holder.

The invention relates mainly to a rotary electrical machine for a motor vehicle, comprising: a heat dissipater (65); two power modules (50) integrated in the heat dissipater (65), each comprising rectifier elements (53) which form three rectifier bridge arms (52), connection terminals (58) associated with the rectifier bridge arms (52), and a control unit which can control the rectifier bridge arms; and a connector (61) which establishes electrical connections, in particular between the terminals (58) for connection of the power modules (50) and the phase outputs of the rotary electrical machine.

At least one of the modules is provided with the switching elements controlling the two different sets of stator windings, and a detection element detecting a state of the module.

The brush-holder regulator comprises a casing made from an insulating material suitable for being mounted on a rear bearing of an alternator and forming a one-piece assembly with at least one housing suitable for containing brushes allowing an electrical connection to be established with an excitation winding of a rotor of the alternator, an electronic control component (22) connected electrically to a trace circuit (21) overmoulded in the casing, and a cooling radiator (24) for the control component. According to the invention, the control component comprises a back electrode (225) on which the radiator (24) is mounted, the back electrode (225) and the radiator (24) being in electrical and thermal contact and rigidly attached to a portion (216) of the trace circuit.
