A brush holder apparatus includes a stationary support member having at least one groove and a fork electrical connector. A brush retainment member has a brush restraint apparatus having a plunger brush restraint configured to restrain a brush from sliding within the brush retainment member by pressing it against the brush retainment member. The brush retainment member has at least one rail configured to slide along the at least one groove, and a knife electrical connector configured to mate with the fork electrical connector. The brush retainment member is configured to be releasably affixed to the stationary support member. The stationary support member is configured for electrical connection to a collector mount, and the brush retainment member is configured to retain at least one brush.

Disclosed is an excitation device which includes a brush holder base. The brush holder base is provided with a plug. The plug is provided with a brush holder shaft. The front end of the brush holder shaft is provided with a brush box. A horizontal taper dovetail groove is formed in the brush holder base. A horizontal taper dovetail lug boss is disposed on the plug. The dovetail groove is matched with the dovetail lug boss. The present invention solves the problem of potential safety hazard in locking, and ensures safe and smooth operation of a unit.
Excitation device
Disclosed is an excitation device which includes a brush holder base. The brush holder base is provided with a plug. The plug is provided with a brush holder shaft. The front end of the brush holder shaft is provided with a brush box. A horizontal taper dovetail groove is formed in the brush holder base. A horizontal taper dovetail lug boss is disposed on the plug. The dovetail groove is matched with the dovetail lug boss. BRUSH HOLDER APPARATUS
A brush holder apparatus for receiving a brush, includes a support member, and at least one box member affixed to the support member. The box member includes a slot extending through a side of the box member. At least one cam member is operably connected to the support member. The cam member includes a rounded surface partially extending through the slot. The rounded surface is configured to directly contact the brush while the cam member retains the brush. The cam member is configured to move within the slot, and the cam member is configured to retain the brush against an inner surface of the box member. The at least one cam member is configured for manual manipulation (e.g., by hand) so that the brush can be removed from the at least one box member without the use of any tools.
