SURGICAL MOTOR

A coil former for an electric motor, in particular a high-speed surgical motor, in which a rotor is surrounded concentrically by the substantially hollow-cylindrical coil former, carries at least one stator winding. To ensure that as narrow an air gap as possible is permanently maintained between the coil former, which is preferably produced using an injection-molding method often with complex shaping, and a rotor, which runs in the coil former, the coil former is formed either by a non-conductive fully ceramic body, or is in the form of a composite body in which at least one dimension-stabilizing frame element is embedded by injection-molding with plastic in a plastic body which is preferably produced by injection molding.

A high voltage electric machine and power distribution system including one or more of such electric machines are provided. In one aspect, a high voltage electric machine includes a stator, a rotor, and a housing encasing at least a portion of the stator and rotor. The stator is modularized into cascaded voltage stator modules. The stator modules are galvanically isolated from one another by intermodular separators. At least one intermodular separator is positioned between each adjacent pair of stator modules. The stator modules are also galvanically isolated from the housing by a housing separator. The housing separator is positioned between the stator modules and the housing. Each stator module has an associated set of windings that are wound only within their associated stator module.

A high voltage electric machine and power distribution system including one or more of such electric machines are provided. In one aspect, a high voltage electric machine includes a stator, a rotor, and a housing encasing at least a portion of the stator and rotor. The stator is modularized into cascaded voltage stator modules. The stator modules are galvanically isolated from one another by intermodular separators. At least one intermodular separator is positioned between each adjacent pair of stator modules. The stator modules are also galvanically isolated from the housing by a housing separator. A laundry appliance includes a tub having a rear wall that includes a plurality of structural ribs. A drive hub has a bearing housing insert injection molded into the rear wall. A stator is attached to the drive hub at stator fastening portions exposed through the rear wall of the tub. A reinforcing cap is fixed to the structural ribs of the rear wall of the tub. The bearing housing of the drive hub extends rearwards through a portion of the reinforcing cap. The stator fastening portions are exposed through the reinforcing cap.

A hand-guided treatment device has a motor housing which includes a basic housing body that extends at least on a first housing side, and a remaining housing body, which is connected to the basic housing body and, together with the basic housing body, encloses a housing interior.
