ELECTRICAL MOTOR USING A HEAT SPREADER AND CARTRIDGE CONTROL ASSEMBLY

A motor assembly includes a housing having a motor cavity. A stator is disposed within the housing. A rotor rotates within the stator and within the motor cavity about a rotational axis. A controller is coupled with the stator having a filter circuit board and a main circuit board that are interconnected at a terminal header to define a multilayer circuit board assembly. The circuit board assembly has an electrical interface and a data interface attached to at least one of the filter circuit board and the main circuit board.

Stator winding heat sink configuration

In one possible implementation, a motor is provided including a rotor and a stator. Front cooling fins are thermally coupled to a front of the stator, and rear cooling fins are thermally coupled to a rear portion of the stator. The winding is between the front and rear cooling fins.

Rotary electric machine

The rotary electric machine includes a motor unit, and an inverter unit having a power module, a field module, and a cooler. The cooler includes a heat transfer member having, on the one-side surface, a channel groove recessed toward the other side, a lid member, a sealing agent, and a coolant supply/discharge unit; and the lid member is fixed to the heat transfer member with a screw hole, a through hole, and a screw; and, at a position between the screw hole and the through hole, and the channel groove, a recess is provided on one or both of the one-side surface of the heat transfer member and the other-side surface of the lid member, and the sealing agent is applied on the side closer to the channel groove than the recess while no sealing agent is applied on the side closer to the screw hole than the recess.

In an electric power steering device, a motor housing includes an end face part opposite to an output part of a rotating shaft of an electric motor. A power conversion circuit part includes a power conversion switching circuit part, and a second part exclusive of the power conversion switching circuit part. The power conversion switching circuit part includes an upper arm switching element and a lower arm switching element packaged by synthetic resin, and is mounted on a power conversion switching circuit board that is mounted to a power conversion switching circuit part heat dissipation section of the end face part for heat dissipation. A power supply circuit part and the second part of the power conversion circuit part are mounted on a power supply circuit board that is mounted to a power supply circuit part heat dissipation section of the end face part for heat dissipation.

Electrical machine

An electrical machine may include a comprise a rotor, a stator, a coolant distributor chamber and a coolant collector chamber. The rotor may be rotated about an axis of rotation that defines an axial direction of the electrical machine. The stator may comprise a plurality of stator windings. The coolant collector chamber may be axially arranged at a distance from the coolant distributor chamber. The coolant distributor chamber may communicate fluidically with the coolant collector chamber by way of least one cooling channel through which a coolant can flow. The at least one cooling channel and the at least one stator winding may be embedded in a plastic mass consisting of an electrically insulating plastic for thermal coupling to the coolant.

Heat sink for an electric machine

A heat sink (30) for cooling an electric machine (10), includes: a first part of the heat sink (32) in the form of a hollow cylinder, wherein an inner lateral surface includes a groove (34) extending helically with respect to a central axis of the hollow cylinder; a second part of the heat sink (36) in the form of a hollow cylinder, which includes a radially internal fin (38); and a third part of the heat sink (40) in the form of a hollow cylinder, which includes a connecting section (52), in order to accommodate an output shaft (12) of the machine in a rotationally fixed manner. The second part of the heat sink is accommodated, at least partially, in the first part of the heat sink, so that a radially external surface of the second part of the heat sink rests against the groove.

Provided is a stator assembly comprising a stator including a stator core having a cylindrical shape and a through hole through which two ends communicate with an outside and a wound coil having parts protruding to the outside further than the two ends of the stator core in an axial direction of the stator core and the remaining part positioned in the stator core and heat dissipation caps which are provided on two end portions of the stator core such that the protruding parts of the wound coil are accommodated in contact with an outer surface of the stator core. Therefore, a heat radiation path capable of transferring heat generated by or transferred to a stator coil to the outside increases, heat dissipation efficiency is improved, heat dissipation properties are superior, and thus a decrease in operational efficiency of a motor due to heat generation may be minimized or prevented.

An electric hydrofoil board having a submersion-cooled powertrain is provided. A powertrain assembly, which includes a motor housed in a motor assembly and an electronic speed controller housed in a nose cone assembly that is fastened to the motor assembly, is attached to a lower end of a mast of the hydrofoil board so that the powertrain assembly remains submerged at all times during normal use of the hydrofoil board in a body of water. The flow of water around the powertrain assembly during normal use cools heat-generating components of the electronic speed controller and motor.

An electric motor (1), in particular, an external rotor motor, has a stator (10) with a stator core (11), a non-rotatably attached shaft (20), that extends in the axial direction (A) of the motor, and a rotor bell (30), rotatably arranged relative to the non-rotatable shaft (20). The rotor bell (30) has cooling ribs in an open, spoke-like design rotatably mounted on the shaft (20) by at least one first stator-side bearing shield (31). A cooling device (40) is arranged between and connects the shaft (20) and the stator core (11). The cooling device (40) has a plurality of axial flow openings (41) arranged in the circumferential direction that causes cooling when the motor rotates during operation.
