Rectifier bridge
A circuit includes two input nodes and two output nodes. A rectifier bridge is coupled to the input and output nodes. The rectifier bridge includes a first and second thyristors and a third thyristor coupled in series with a resistor in series. The series coupled third thyristor and resistor are coupled in parallel with one of the first and second thyristors. The first and second thyristors are controlled off, with the third thyristor controlled on, during start up with resistor functioning as an in in-rush current limiter circuit. In normal rectifying operation mode, the first and second thyristors are controlled on, with the third thyristor controlled off.
PRECHARGE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A precharge system and method are provided. The precharge system comprises a load circuit, a precharge circuit and a control circuit. The load circuit comprises an input terminal, an input switch and a bus capacitor. The precharge circuit comprises a precharge resistor and a precharge switch. The precharge method comprises: during the load circuit being in a precharge mode, controlling the input switch to be in an off state, and controlling the precharge switch to switch between the on and off state for multiple times; and during the load circuit being in a work mode, controlling the input switch to be in an on state. During the load circuit being in the precharge mode, when the precharge switch is in the on state, a consuming power of the precharge resistor is larger than a threshold power and is smaller than or equal to a limit power of the precharge resistor.
Power Conversion Device and Press Apparatus
A power conversion device and a press apparatus capable of preventing an excessive current in a DC-link capacitor are provided. The power conversion device 10 includes a voltage-doubling rectifier circuit 12. In the voltage-doubling rectifier circuit 12, in a voltage-doubling rectification mode, a common connection node Nc between two capacitors 102a and 102b is connected to a predetermined node. A current detector circuit 107 detects a switching current (IL) flowing in the switching elements SW1 and SW2, and a current detector circuit 108 detects a load current Ild of a load 15. In a mode switching period from a full-wave rectification mode to a voltage-doubling rectification mode, a controller circuit 110 controls the switching of the switching elements SW1 and SW2, based on the switching current (IL) and the load current Ild.
RFID TAG LIMITER
A Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag is disclosed. The RFID tag includes an antenna port to receive an input AC signal and a hybrid limiter including a clamping device configured to limit a voltage of the input AC signal to a preconfigured limit. The hybrid limiter is configured to provide a stable ground reference for the clamping device.
Electric working machine and method for smoothing AC power supplied thereto
An electric working machine according to one aspect of the present disclosure comprises a motor, a rectifier circuit, a capacitor, a series switching element, a resistive element, a drive circuit, a peak voltage value acquirer, and a controller. The capacitor smooths power rectified by the rectifier circuit. The series switching element is coupled in series with the capacitor. The resistive element is coupled in parallel with the series switching element. The controller brings the series switching element into conduction in a case where AC power is inputted to the rectifier circuit and where a specified conducting condition based on a peak voltage value acquired by the peak voltage value acquirer is satisfied.

An image display apparatus is disclosed. The image display apparatus includes a display and a power supply configured to supply driving voltage to the display, wherein the power supply includes a converter to convert input AC voltage into DC voltage and a controller to control the converter, the converter includes a first leg including a first switching device and a second switching device connected to each other in series and a second leg including a first diode and a second diode connected to each other in series, the first diode and the second diode connected to the first leg in parallel, and the controller controls on time of the first switching device to gradually increase from a first level to a second level for a first period for which the input AC voltage rises after a zero crossing point.

A switching device is provided. The apparatus includes a switching circuit and a noise filter. The second power conversion circuit corresponds to the certain phase of the external power supply. In the noise filter, a capacitor is provided on a side of the multiple-phase AC supply of the switching circuit.

Power supply for electric utility underground equipment
A power supply device may include a connector configured to electrically couple the power supply device to a conductor of the underground power lines; a voltage divider configured to receive an input voltage from the conductor, the voltage divider comprising a capacitor and divider voltage control electronics in series with the capacitor; and, a surge resistor in series with the capacitor and configured to provide impulse protection from surge events. The divider voltage control electronics may be configured to regulate an output voltage of the voltage divider to support variable loads on the voltage divider.
Multi-phase AC/DC converter
The present disclosure provides a three-phase AC/DC converter aiming for low input current harmonic. The converter includes an input stage for receiving a three-phase AC input voltage, an output stage for at least one load, and one or more switching conversion stages, each stage including a plurality of half bridge modules. The switches in each module operate with a substantially fixed 50% duty cycle and are connected in a specific pattern to couple a DC-link and a neutral node of the input voltage. The AC/DC converter further includes one or more controllers adapted to vary the switching frequency of the switches in the switching conversion stages based on at least one of load voltage, load current, input voltage, and DC-link voltage. The converter can also include one or more decoupling stages, such as, inductive components adapted to decouple the output stage from the switching conversion stages.
