Configurable transceiver circuit architecture

Techniques and mechanisms for providing signal communication with a configurable transceiver circuit. In an embodiment, an integrated circuit comprises transceiver circuitry including an output stage and current mirror circuitry. The output stage is coupled to receive a differential signal pair and to provide at least one output signal based on the differential signal pair. In another embodiment, configuration logic is operable to select between a first mode and a second mode of the transceiver circuit. The first mode includes the current mirror circuitry being disabled from providing a current signal to the output stage, and a first circuit path being closed to provide voltage to the output stage. The second mode includes the first circuit path being open and the current mirror circuitry being enabled to provide a current signal to the output stage.

A preamplifier amplifies signals input to first and second input terminals. A first switching circuit receives first and second input signals and outputs those to the first and second input terminals. A switched capacitor circuit samples two signals amplified by the preamplifier. Differential signals sampled by the switched capacitor circuit are respectively input to third and fourth input terminals of an integration circuit, and the integration circuit outputs differential signals obtained by those input signals to first and second output terminals. A second switching circuit switches a connection relationship between the switched capacitor circuit and the integration circuit. Each time the cycle changes, the first and second switching circuits switch the connection relationships to cause the signals amplified by the preamplifier to be sampled by double correlation sampling.

TRANS-IMPEDANCE AMPLIFIER FOR ULTRASOUND DEVICE AND RELATED APPARATUS AND METHODS

A variable current trans-impedance amplifier (TIA) for an ultrasound device is described. The TIA may be coupled to an ultrasonic transducer to amplify an output signal of the ultrasonic transducer representing an ultrasound signal received by the ultrasonic transducer. During acquisition of the ultrasound signal by the ultrasonic transducer, one or more current sources in the TIA may be varied.

CAPACITIVE AMPLIFIER WITH LOW KICKBACK FROM SWITCHABLE FEEDBACK CAPACITORS

A capacitive amplifier device and technique for mitigating the perturbation within the switchable terminals of a feedback capacitor which is produced by the switching activity performed as part of the device's operation. The capacitive amplifier contains feedback components which can be switched without producing significant kickback or poorly behaved transitions due to the inclusion of at least one dedicated circuit. The dedicated circuit is a kickback limiter circuitry which is connected to a switchable node and is designed to reduce the kickback. The technique for reducing the kickback produced can be achieved by connecting and activating the kickback limiter circuitry.
