Amplifier with adjustable high-frequency gain using varactor diodes
The detection matrix for an Orthogonal Differential Vector Signaling code is typically embodied as a transistor circuit with multiple active signal inputs. An alternative detection matrix approach uses passive resistor networks to sum at least some of the input terms before active detection.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTO CALIBRATION IN A POWER BLACKOUT SENSING SYSTEM
A calibration amplifier includes: a plurality of transistors and a variable resistor configured to change in response to clock pulses. During a calibration cycle, one of the plurality of transistors switches on in each calibration step based on a plurality of enable signals, and a gain of the calibration amplifier changes until an output voltage of the calibration amplifier exceeds a reference voltage and is set to a calibrated gain. The calibration amplifier outputs the output voltage by amplifying an input voltage using the calibrated gain.

The method further includes modifying an audio signal based at least in part on the first amplitude limiting signal to generate a first gain-adjusted audio signal. The method also includes providing a first output audio signal to the first power amplifier for amplification. The first output audio signal is based at least in part on the first gain-adjusted audio signal.
Digital signal generator for audio artefact reduction
A digital signal generator apparatus and method is described. The digital signal generator includes a counter, an integrator and a comparator. The counter counts up or down from an initial counter value dependent on a counter control input. The comparator has a first input coupled to the counter output, a threshold input and a comparator output coupled to the counter control input. The integrator has an input coupled to the counter output and an output coupled to the digital signal generator output. The digital signal generator determines the count direction after the initial direction dependent on the comparison between a threshold value applied to the threshold input and the counter output value. The digital signal generator may implement the generation of a waveform having an approximation to a raised cosine function. The generated waveform may be used for audio artefact reduction in an audio amplifier during mute or unmute operations or during power up power down operations.
Common mode voltage controller for self-boosting push pull amplifier
Various implementations include a common mode voltage controller for a self-boosting push pull amplifier. In some implementations, input signal are processed by: calculating, based upon the input signal, a maximum duty cycle to achieve a target differential in an output of the self-boosting push pull amplifier; calculating, based on the input signal, a set of control parameters associated with adjusting a common mode voltage of the output; and generating, based on the input signal, a pair of signals configured to adjust the common mode voltage of the output, wherein the pair of signals include a gain adjustment and offset based on the maximum duty cycle and the set of control parameters, and wherein the pair of signals are configured to maintain the target differential in the output of the self-boosting push pull amplifier as the common mode voltage is adjusted to a different operating point.
Volume Limit
An example first playback device includes programming to perform functions including: (1) storing an active volume state variable in memory, wherein the active volume state variable corresponds to a current playback volume; (2) storing a volume limit state variable in memory, wherein the volume limit state variable corresponds to a playback volume limit of the first playback device; (3) detecting a command to begin playback of media at a proposed playback volume different from the current playback volume; (4) based on comparing (i) the playback volume limit and (ii) the proposed playback volume, selecting a startup playback volume; (5) playing back media at the startup playback volume; and (6) causing at least a second playback
