CRACKSTOP WITH EMBEDDED PASSIVE RADIO FREQUENCY NOISE SUPPRESSOR AND METHOD
Disclosed is a radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) chip that includes an integrated circuit (IC) area and a crackstop laterally surrounding the IC area. The crackstop includes a metallic barrier (or, alternatively, concentric metallic barriers) electrically isolated from the IC area. One or more noise suppressors and, particularly, one or more passive filters (e.g., low pass filter(s), high pass filter(s), band pass filter(s), and/or band stop filter(s)) are integrated into the structure of the metallic barrier(s) to inhibit propagation, through the crackstop, of noise signals within a specific RF range. The specific RF range can be a customer-specified operating parameter. By embedding customized noise suppressor(s) into the crackstop, local signal interference unique to the customer-specified operating parameters can be minimized while also avoiding or at least minimizing the risk of moisture ingress to the IC area. Also disclosed is a method of forming the chip.
DIGITAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A digital communication station includes a coupled inductor, driver circuitry, and a digital transceiver. The coupled inductor includes (1) a first winding connected between a first digital communication node and a first power node, (2) a second winding connected between a second digital communication node and a second power node, and (3) a third winding. The driver circuitry is configured to drive the third winding to increase respective inductance values of the first and second windings, and the digital transceiver is communicatively coupled to the first digital communication node and the second digital communication node.
OTP programmable microphone assembly
The present disclosure relates to devices and methods for programming one-time programmable fuses of microphone assemblies. One microphone assembly includes a housing, a transducer, a filter circuit, and an integrated circuit. The integrated circuit has a fuse block having a one-time programmable (OTP) fuse configurable in a programming mode of operation during which a voltage applied to the supply voltage contact is increased relative to a voltage applied to a supply voltage contact in a normal mode of operation. The microphone assembly further includes a protection circuit configured to regulate a voltage at the voltage input terminal of the integrated circuit during the programming mode of operation based on a comparison of a voltage at the voltage input terminal with a reference voltage. The voltage on the voltage input terminal of the integrated circuit tracks the reference voltage during the programming mode of operation.
Low-pass filter
A low pass filter is disclosed. In an embodiment a low-pass filter includes a current-compensated choke, a reference potential and a capacitor connected in parallel with the current-compensated choke and to the reference potential, wherein a core of the current-compensated choke is configured to have a magnetic circuit, and wherein the core has an air gap.
POWER NOISE SUPPRESSION CIRCUIT
The invention discloses a power noise suppression circuit applied to a power system. The power noise suppression circuit comprises at least one power noise to heat converter and at least one anti-power noise transmitted unit. When a power noise within a specific frequency band enters the power noise suppression circuit, the power noise to heat converter converts the power noise to a thermal energy, and the anti-power noise transmitted unit reflects the power noise within the specific frequency band to the power noise to heat converter. Accordingly, the power noise within the specific frequency band can be suppressed and absorbed in the power noise suppression circuit, so as to maintain the stability of the power system.
Machines having power-electronic energy converters and leakage current compensation and system
A device includes an EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) filter, a frequency converter coupled to the EMC filter, and a motor coupled to the frequency converter via a motor cable. A leakage current compensator includes a leakage current detector and a compensation current generator configured to generate a compensation current that is directed against the leakage current and is overlaid on the leakage current in such a way that the leakage current is reduced.
INTEGRATED CIRCUIT WITH INDUCTIVE PICKUP LOOP
An integrated circuit including a first circuit module and a second circuit module is provided. A layer stack may include one or multiple metal layers with a power segment and a ground segment connected to the first circuit module and the second circuit module, which form a resonant current loop. A pickup loop may be inductively coupled to the resonant current loop to dampen its resonance, thereby making the IC compliant with its EMC requirements or removing functional errors such as problems in the signal or power integrity.
Architectures having bridge combiners and multiplexers
An architecture can include a first group of filters each configured to support a band such that a first frequency range covers the respective bands, and a second group of one or more filters each configured to support a band such that a second frequency range covers the respective one or more bands. Each filter of the first group can be configured to provide an impedance at or near a short circuit impedance for a signal in each band of the second group, and each filter of the second group can be configured to provide an impedance at or near a short circuit impedance for a signal in each band of the first group. The filters of the first and second groups can be implemented as one or more multiplexers. The architecture can further include a coupling circuit having a common node and configured to couple the common node to the one or more multiplexers through a first path and a second path. The coupling circuit can be further configured such that the impedance provided by each filter of the first group for the signal in each band of the second group results in the signal being sufficiently excluded from the first path, and such that the impedance provided by each filter of the second group for the signal in each band of the first group results in the signal being sufficiently excluded from the second path.
Active filter for bipolar voltage sources
The invention relates to a device for rejecting interference signals in bipolar voltage sources, in particular in high-voltage sources in a powertrain of an electric vehicle, wherein an amplifier circuit is provided, with an input stage the input of which is symmetrically connected by means of an electrically isolated tap to a positive power line and a negative power line of a voltage source in order to tap an interference signal, and with an output stage, actuated by the input stage, the output of which is symmetrically connected in each case via an output capacitor to the positive power line and the negative power line, in order to feed in a correction signal.
ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERFERENCE (EMI) FILTER UNIT AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A filter unit is provided to retrofit within signal lines that couple analog cockpit gauges to transducers in rotorcraft systems. The filter unit may include a housing assembly and an electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter assembly housed therein. The filter assembly may include a printed circuit board (PCB) having conductive PCB traces and a signal line input connector configured to connect to multiple transducer signal lines. The filter assembly may also include a signal line output connector configured to connect to multiple analog cockpit gauge signal lines and a plurality of common mode chokes electrically connected between the signal line input connector and the signal line output connector. Each common mode choke may be positioned on the PCB so that it does not electrically/magnetically interfere with the other common mode chokes of the plurality of common mode chokes.
