Multi-mode surface acoustic wave filter
Multi-mode surface acoustic wave filters are disclosed. A multi-mode surface acoustic wave filter can include a plurality of interdigital transducer electrodes that are longitudinally coupled to each other and acoustic reflectors on opposing sides of the plurality of interdigital transducer electrodes. The acoustic reflectors include acoustic reflector fingers arranged to suppress a spurious response due to shear horizontal mode of the multi-mode surface acoustic wave filter. For example, the acoustic reflector fingers can include stepped lengths and/or slanted pitches to suppress the spurious response due to shear horizontal mode.

Elastic wave resonators and filters
An elastic wave resonator including a pair of comb-shaped electrodes and a pair of reflector electrodes formed on a piezoelectric substrate. In one example, the pair of comb-shaped electrodes includes first and second overlapping regions in which electrode fingers of the comb-shaped electrodes interdigitate, the second overlapping region being provided on both outside edges of the first overlapping region in an overlapping width direction, an overlapping width of the first overlapping region being greater than an overlapping width of the second overlapping region, the pair of comb-shaped electrodes being configured to excite a first elastic wave in the first overlapping region and to excite a second elastic wave in the second overlapping region, a frequency of the first elastic wave being higher than a frequency of the second elastic wave.

Electroacoustic filter comprising low-pass characteristics
An electroacoustic filter has improved low-pass characteristics. The filter includes a first electroacoustic converter, an electroacoustic element and a grid structure between the converter and the element. The grid structure is acoustically active in one frequency range that lies above the acoustically active frequency range of the first electroacoustic converter.
