Method for automatic production of a service plan
10530508 · 2020-01-07 · ·

A method for scanning a frequency band for producing a service plan. The method parallelises the scanning by dividing the analysis into two steps: an exploration step for the purpose of detecting channels or frequencies carrying services; and an analysis step for extracting detected channels from program information in order to supply a service plan. Each of the steps is performed by multiple task instances. These tasks share the band to be explored and synchronise, for one same step, via semaphores and, for an inter-step communication, according to a producer/consumer principle.

Less-impacting connected mode mobility measurement

A method, apparatus, and system for lessening impact of connected mode mobility measurement is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) may reduce network management complexity by autonomously collecting signal quality measurements for neighboring cells. By autonomously tuning at opportune times for the UE, signal quality measurements may be obtained and reported to a serving cell. In another implementation, the UE examines the broadcast system information of both the serving base station against that of the neighboring base stations. Based on the included bandwidth information, the UE selects appropriate narrowband radio frequency subcarriers to perform signal quality measurement.

Method and apparatus for utilizing modulation based audio correlation technique for maintaining dynamic FM station list in single tuner variant and assisting alternate frequency switching methodology in single tuner and dual tuner variants

A method of operating a single-tuner radio includes tuning into a first frequency. A pause in a first signal associated with the first frequency is detected. Tuning is switched from the first frequency to a second frequency during the pause. Fieldstrength, multipath, adjacent channel energy, frequency offset and FM modulation for the second frequency are measured. Tuning is switched from the second frequency to the first frequency. Tuning is switched from the first frequency to the second frequency dependent upon the measuring step.
