In some embodiments, a sensor arrangement in an electronic device may include a first circuit layer including a proximity pad and a first reference pad, and a second circuit layer including a second reference pad and a temperature pad. The first circuit layer may be between the second circuit layer and a user-facing surface of the electronic device, the first reference pad may be electrically coupled to the second reference pad, and the first reference pad may be between the temperature pad and the user-facing surface.

The present disclosure provides a capacitance detection circuit capable of reducing a chip area. The present disclosure relates to a capacitance detection circuit and an input device. A sense pin of the capacitance detection circuit is connected to a sensor electrode. A first driving unit applies a high voltage or a low voltage to the sense pin. A second driving unit applies the high voltage or the low voltage to a first terminal of a reference capacitor. A third driving unit applies the high voltage or the low voltage to a second terminal of the reference capacitor. A first switch is disposed between the sense pin and the first terminal of the reference capacitor. A second switch is disposed between an input of a post-stage circuit block and the first terminal of the reference capacitor.

COMBINED INDUCTIVE SENSING AND CAPACITIVE SENSING

A sense unit for inductive sensing or capacitive sensing is described. The sense unit may include a first terminal coupled to a first node, a first electrode coupled to the first node, and a second terminal. The sense unit may include a second electrode coupled to the second terminal. In a first mode, a first signal is received at the first terminal and a second signal is output on the second terminal, where the second signal may be representative of a capacitance of the sense unit. The sense unit may include an inductive coil. The sense unit may include a first capacitor. The inductive coil and the first capacitor are coupled in parallel between the first node and ground. In a second mode, a third signal is received at the first terminal and a fourth signal is output on the second terminal.

Keyboard touch electrode module and touch keyboard therewith

A keyboard touch electrode module includes a plurality of same electrode matrices, which are arranged along a lengthwise direction and a widthwise direction and formed by a plurality of series of first electrodes and a plurality of series of second electrodes which interlace with each other. Adjacent two of the electrode matrices in the widthwise direction are mis-aligned. The electrode matrices thereon define a plurality of key projection areas, each of which covers a same key-face electrode pattern. A touch keyboard includes a base, a plurality of keycaps, a plurality of supporting structures connected to and between the base and the keycaps, and the keyboard touch electrode module disposed between the base and the keycaps. The keyboard touch electrode module can senses a non-pressing movement on the keycaps. The keycap can move up and down relative to the base and the keyboard touch electrode module through the corresponding supporting structure.

An apparatus for inductive sensing or capacitive sensing is described. The apparatus may include a signal generator to output on a first terminal a first signal in a first mode and a second signal in a second mode. The apparatus may include a charge measuring circuit to receive on a second terminal a third signal in the first mode and a fourth signal in the second mode. The third signal is representative of an inductance of a sense unit coupled between the first terminal and the second terminal. The fourth signal is representative of a capacitance of the sense unit.
