BASEBALL PITCH SELECTION COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A system for communicating pitch selections wirelessly from a wireless transmitter has a coded signal generator that generates coded signals in accordance with selected pitch types. A receiver decodes the received coded signals, selects an audio file based on the received coded signal and generates an audio signal announcing the selected pitch type based on the transmitted selected pitch type in accordance with the received coded signal. The audio signal is transduced by a bone conductor transducer so that the player can hear the announced selected pitch type through bone conduction.
Adaptive eyewear antenna
An eyewear device that includes a lens; a support structure adapted to be worn on the head of a user, the support structure including a rim configured to support the lens in a viewing area visible to the user when wearing the support structure; an antenna embedded into or forming part of the support structure, the antenna at least partially extending into the rim; a transceiver adapter to send and receive signals; and a tuner coupled between the transceiver and the antenna, the tuner adapted to match impedance between the antenna and the transceiver to improve power transfer.
Adaptive antenna tuning based on measured antenna impedance
A system includes an antenna, an impedance measurement circuit, an impedance tuning circuit, and a controller. The impedance measurement circuit can include a test current source that conveys a test current through the antenna, and a voltage sensor that measure a voltage across the antenna while the test current is conveyed through the antenna. The impedance tuning circuit can be coupled to the antenna leads and can include one or more reactive elements that can be selectively coupled to the antenna, or otherwise adjusted, to effect adjustment of the impedance connected to the antenna. The controller can: (i) use the impedance measurement circuit to obtain a measurement indicative of an impedance of the antenna; (ii) determine an adjustment to the impedance tuning circuit based on the obtained measurement; and (iii) cause the impedance tuning circuit to make the determined adjustment.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
This electronic device includes a wearing detector, provided at a position that comes close to or in contact with a human body when the electronic device is worn by a user, that detects wearing of the electronic device by the user, an antenna that transmits radio waves, and a controller that restricts transmission of radio waves from the antenna when wearing is detected by the wearing detector.
Wireless device and methods for making and using the same
A guest engagement system and associated methods provide seamless engagement with guests of facilities through the use of wireless sensing technologies. The system makes use of individual guest devices which are carried by guests and used to automatically identify and authenticate the guests throughout the facility. Services can thereby be seamlessly provided to the guests throughout the facility. The services include contact tracing, automatic unlocking of doors, including hotel or state room doors, based on the guests' immediate proximity to their assigned room's door. The services also include automated payment services provided at checkout or vending terminals, and automated log-on to interactive displays and portals, among others, based on secure wireless authentication of the guest devices. The guest devices can each include a device health sensor configured for measuring at least one health function of a user wearing the guest device.
METHOD AND DEVICES FOR CONTROLLING FUNCTIONS EMPLOYING WEARABLE PRESSURE-SENSITIVE DEVICES
A wearable pressure sensor coupled to a controller and transmitter/receiver that when activated sends a control signal.
BLUETOOTH TRANSMITTER
A Bluetooth transmitter with features to reduce the likelihood of unwitting loss includes a first housing, a second housing, a circuit board, and a button. The second housing couples to the first housing. A side of the second housing opposite to the first housing defines at least one groove for connecting to another housing or a holder. The circuit board is secured in the second housing. The button couples to the first housing and connects to the circuit board through the first housing. The button is configured to initiate a Bluetooth signal transmission.

Transmission system for a body-worn electronic device
A body-worn electronic device, including a loop antenna and a transmitter. The overall physical length of the loop antenna is less than 75% of the vacuum wavelength of a lower limit frequency of the operating frequency range of the transmitter, while the electrical length of the antenna is from 0.9 to 1.1 times the guided wavelength of the lower limit frequency of the operating frequency range of the transmitter. The loop antenna includes a plurality of conductors which are connected in series by inductors so as to increase the electrical length of the loop antenna.
