Memory device with embedded sim card
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a memory device removably couplable with a mobile device. In some embodiments, the memory device may include a PCB insertable in the mobile device. The PCB may include a first chip (a micro SD device); a second chip (a SIM card); a first contact electrically coupled with the first chip, to provide a first communication interface between the first chip and the mobile device; and a second contact electrically coupled with the second chip, to provide a second communication interface between the second chip and the mobile device. The first and second communication interfaces may provide for respective communications between the micro SD device and the mobile device, and between the SIM card and the mobile device, at the same time, when the PCB is removably coupled with the mobile device.

A card holder for use inside an electronic device is provided. The card holder includes a holder body and a plurality of electrical connectors. The holder body is disposed with a card slot matching a nano SIM card. The card slot is configured to accommodate the nano SIM card or a memory card having a same appearance or shape as the nano SIM card. At least some of the plurality of electrical connectors are first electrical connectors whose positions match the positions of electrical contact points in the nano SIM card. The first electrical connector is configured to electrically connect to the nano SIM card or the memory card accommodated in the card slot. The plurality of electrical connectors are configured to electrically connect to the memory card.

A card holder for use inside an electronic device is provided. The card holder includes a holder body and a plurality of electrical connectors. The holder body is disposed with a card slot matching a nano SIM card. The card slot is configured to accommodate the nano SIM card or a memory card having a same appearance or shape as the nano SIM card. At least some of the plurality of electrical connectors are first electrical connectors whose positions match the positions of electrical contact points in the nano SIM card. The first electrical connector is configured to electrically connect to the nano SIM card or the memory card accommodated in the card slot. A method, computer program product and a user equipment (UE) are provided for assisting a user equipment (UE) in selecting a network function. A first message is received from the UE. The first message includes UE request capabilities. A second message is sent to the UE. The second message includes an indication that promotes the UE attempting to connect to a particular Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) using a network function belonging to the particular PLMN.

A method, computer program product and a user equipment (UE) are provided for assisting a user equipment (UE) in selecting a network function. A first message is received from the UE. The first message includes UE request capabilities. A second message is sent to the UE. The second message includes an indication that promotes the UE attempting to connect to a particular Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) using a network function belonging to the particular PLMN.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR AUTHENTICATING A MOBILE STATION ON AN ALTERNATIVE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
A method of authenticating a mobile station on an alternate communications network is disclosed, the mobile station being associated with a default communications network. The mobile station comprises a baseband processor to manage the antenna-related functions and a SIM card to accommodate a default SIM associated with the default communications network for receiving network credentials from the baseband processor. The method comprises providing a SIM card device to intercept communications between the baseband processor and the SIM card, monitoring the network credentials in respect of the network that the mobile station is actively in communication with, determining whether the mobile station needs to switch to an alternate network, and identifying or receiving from a user the alternate network, consulting a SIM bank, comprising at least one alternate SIM, and selecting an alternate SIM having a mobile station identification variable compatible with the alternate network, receiving a network authentication request on the mobile station from the alternate network, and allocating the selected mobile station identification variable to the mobile station so as to identify the user of the mobile station on the alternate network.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR AUTHENTICATING A MOBILE STATION ON AN ALTERNATIVE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
A method of authenticating a mobile station on an alternate communications network is disclosed, the mobile station being associated with a default communications network. The mobile station comprises a baseband processor to manage the antenna-related functions and a SIM card to accommodate a default SIM associated with the default communications network for receiving network credentials from the baseband processor. The method comprises providing a SIM card device to intercept communications between the baseband processor and the SIM card, monitoring the network credentials in respect of the network that the mobile station is actively in communication with, determining whether the mobile station needs to switch to an alternate network, and identifying or receiving from a user the alternate network, consulting a SIM bank, comprising at least one alternate SIM, and selecting an alternate SIM having a mobile station identification variable compatible with the alternate network, receiving a network authentication request on the mobile station from the alternate network, and allocating the selected mobile station identification variable to the mobile station so as to identify the user of the mobile station on the alternate network.

A network access method includes logging in to a shared server via a shared account, if a mobile communication terminal detects that a network identification of a public land mobile network (PLMN) of a visited place does not exist in a local memory; searching the shared network information in the shared server online via a network and acquiring the network identification of the PLMN of the visited place from the shared network information, after the shared server is logged in to; adding the network identification of the PLMN of the visited place to an EPLMN list by the mobile communication terminal; and accessing a network according to the EPLMN list.
