Methods, apparatuses and systems for flexible channel access in shared spectrum
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may perform a listen before talk (LBT) procedure on a channel bandwidth using an energy detection (ED) threshold. The ED threshold being associated with a transmission bandwidth that is narrower than the channel bandwidth. The wireless device may also, responsive to a successful LBT procedure, transmit on the transmission bandwidth according to a frequency hopping pattern during a first channel occupancy time (COT). The frequency hopping pattern comprises a first resource allocation and a second resource allocation different from the first resource allocation.

A short range radio communication device and a method of controlling a short range radio communication device may include a processing circuit configured to: determine a time offset between an initial starting point of operation of a transceiver in accordance with a first frequency hopping sequence and a shifted starting point of operation of the transceiver in accordance with the first frequency hopping sequence so that a first segment of a frequency range is exclusive of a second segment of the frequency range; and control at least one of a controller and a clock circuit to operate the transceiver in accordance with the first frequency hopping sequence at the shifted starting point.

A method of operating a radio receiver device comprises receiving a plurality of signals with a plurality of corresponding frequencies; applying respective gains to each of the plurality of signals; and storing the gain applied to each signal and its corresponding frequency. The method comprises subsequently receiving a further signal with a further frequency; and applying a further gain to the further signal. The further gain is determined using at least one of the stored gains according to a difference between the further frequency and at least one of the plurality of corresponding frequencies.

To improve utilization efficiency of radio resources in a case that uplink control channels of a plurality of user terminals having different durations and/or starting symbols are multiplexed in the same slot. A user terminal of the present invention includes a transmitting section that transmits uplink control information (UCI) by using an uplink control channel, and a control section that controls a hopping timing of a frequency resource to which the uplink control channel is mapped, based on whether an index of a starting symbol of the uplink control channel is an even number or an odd number and a duration of the uplink control channel.
Pseudo channel hopping in mesh networks without time synchronization
A method for pseudo channel hopping in a node of a wireless mesh network is provided that includes scanning each channel of a plurality of channels used for packet transmission by the node, wherein each channel is scanned for a scan dwell time associated with the channel, updating statistics for each channel based on packets received by the node during the scanning of the channel, and selecting a channel of the plurality of channels for scanning based on the statistics when the scan dwell time of a currently scanned channel ends.
Enhanced channel hopping sequence
A system and method for enhanced channel hopping sequence is described. A pseudo random channel hopping sequence is redistributed using certain system specific parameters for separating adjacent transmission channels within a predetermined number of consecutive transmission channel numbers in the random channel hopping sequence to improve inter-channel interference between adjacent transmission channels.
Generation of channel access patterns for mutually uncoordinated networks
Proposed is a controller for a participant of a communication system, wherein the communication system wirelessly communicates in a frequency band that is used for communication by a plurality of communication systems, wherein the controller is configured to identify a channel access pattern, wherein the channel access pattern indicates a frequency hop-based and/or time hop-based occupancy of the frequency band that is usable for the communication of the communication system, wherein the controller is configured to identify the channel access pattern as a function of individual information of the communication system and as a function of a state of a numerical sequence generator for generating a numerical sequence or a number of a numerical sequence.
PAIRING MULTIPLE DEVICES INTO A DESIGNATED GROUP FOR A COMMUNICATION SESSION
Methods, apparatus, and processor-readable storage media for pairing multiple devices into a designated group for a communication session are provided herein. An example computer-implemented method includes processing, via at least a portion of multiple processing devices, information associated with a network in connection with one or more device pairing requests from one or more of the processing devices; implementing, via at least one the multiple processing devices, a pairing algorithm, wherein the pairing algorithm comprises searching for one or more of the processing devices, in accordance with one or more temporal values associated with the at least one processing device and at least one of the one or more device pairing requests corresponding thereto, and one or more pairing parameters; and automatically pairing, via the network and based on the pairing algorithm, the at least one processing device to one or more of the processing devices.
EXCISION OF INTERFERENCE WITH HOPPED WAVEFORMS
Suppressing interference in a frequency hopping signal. The method includes receiving a frequency hopping signal for a signal of interest. The frequency hopping signal includes the signal of interest modulated using frequency hopping and wideband and narrowband interference. Prior to de-hopping the frequency hopping signal, one or more wideband interferences in the frequency hopping signal are identified. The one or more wideband interferences are suppressed to create a wideband interference suppressed signal. Subsequent to suppressing the one or more wideband interferences, the wideband interference suppressed signal is de-hopped to create a de-hopped signal. In the de-hopped signal, one or more narrowband interferences are identified. The one or more narrowband interferences are suppressed to create an interference suppressed signal. The interference suppressed signal is demodulated to create a demodulated signal.
