An example cable assembly includes: a first plurality of conductors in a Litz cable arrangement; an outer protective layer configured to protect the plurality of conductors from physical damage; and a second plurality of conductors that are electrically isolated from the first plurality of conductors and are protected by the outer protective layer from physical damage.
SIGNAL MULTIPLEXER FOR SONAR
A sonar includes a first part and a second part linked by an electric carrier cable configured to mechanically support the second part and allow the two parts of the sonar to exchange signals comprising: a unidirectional signal, called electrical power supply signal, unidirectional signals, called signals to be emitted, transmitted by the first part to the second part for them to be transmitted in the form of acoustic waves, and a bidirectional signal conveying communication data, the sonar wherein the first part comprises signal combination means configured for the signals to be transmitted simultaneously over the electric carrier cable, and in that the second part comprises separation means allowing the recovery of each of the signals transmitted over the electric carrier cable.
POWER CONTROL SYSTEM, DEVICE, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM
[Problem] As compared with the case where the apparent power in the electric line on the supply side is adjusted without supplying the current to the electric line closer to the power supply side than the distribution transformer, there is a reduction in the effect of the state in the electric line closer to the power reception side than the distribution transformer on the adjustment of the apparent power in the electric line closer to the power supply side than the distribution transformer.
[Solution] A power control system includes a device that receives power from an electric line of a distribution system via a distribution transformer, an acquisition unit that acquires electric line information on the electric line, and a control unit that causes the device to generate a current used for adjustment of apparent power in the electric line based on the electric line information acquired by the acquisition unit.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR POWERING AND COMMUNICATING WITH MULTIPLE FIXTURES
A system (and system controller) has powering of, and communication with, a set of fixtures using an AC cable having a power line (e.g. a mains live wire), a reference line (e.g. a mains neutral wire) and a data line. Fixtures are at different positions along the cable, each powered by the local voltage difference between the power line and the reference line. A system controller provides a data signal over the data line, wherein the data signal for a fixture is defined by the local voltage difference between the data signal on the data line and the reference line (or power line). In order to compensate for voltage drops, a compensation circuit adds a voltage offset waveform to the data signal which is dependent on the overall set of positions of the fixtures. This enables an increased number of fixtures and/or reach of the fixtures connected to the system controller.
Multi-use optical data, powerline data, and ground power interface for airplane factory automation
A method for communicating data between a vehicle and a ground system comprises receiving, by a vehicle bus multiplexer on the vehicle, the data via a plurality of vehicle data buses from an onboard system. The method further comprises multiplexing, by the vehicle bus multiplexer, the data into at least one data path of a multi-use power interface. Also, the method comprises transmitting, by the multi-use power interface via at least one data path, the data from the vehicle bus multiplexer to a ground bus multiplexer associated with the ground system. In addition, the method comprises demultiplexing, by the ground bus multiplexer, the data from at least one data path of the multi-use power interface into a plurality of ground data buses associated with the ground system. Further, the method comprises transmitting, by the ground bus multiplexer, the data via the plurality of ground data buses to the ground system.
