CONTROL OF MULTI-USER MULTIPLE INPUT MULTIPLE OUTPUT CONNECTIONS
Apparatuses and methods in a communication system are provided. A method comprises receiving from network instructions of how to control multi-user multiple input multiple output connections maintained by one or more radio access nodes, the connections utilising one or more slices. One or more radio access nodes perform, based at least in part on the received network instructions, multi-user pairing of terminal devices of the same or different slices, and determine, based at least in part on the received network instructions, slice-based quota taking multi-user pairing and interference arising from paired allocations into account.
Multi-directional, multi-port array antenna structure
A simple multi-directional, multi-port array antenna structure is disclosed that can be used for a variety of applications, including but not limited to direction finding (DF) and beam-forming applications in receive and transmit modes, respectively. The disclosed antenna structure offers unique functionalities in both receive and transmit modes. For DF applications in the receive mode, the back-end of the antenna structure features a power sensing mechanism to monitor the power received at all ports. In the transmit mode, the disclosed antenna structure is used for beamforming applications by providing individual port excitation and using antenna arrays.

Receiver address field for multi-user transmissions in WLAN systems
In wireless communications for multi-users, a station may receive a trigger frame including a transmitter address field. When the trigger frame is a multi-user request-to-send (MU-RTS) frame eliciting clear-to-send (CTS) frames from a plurality of stations, the station transmit a CTS frame including a first receiver address field in response to the trigger frame. The first receiver address field may be set equal to the transmitter address field. When the trigger frame elicits data frames from a plurality of stations, the station transmit a data frame including a second receiver address field in response to the trigger frame. The second receiver address field may be set to a destination address. Other methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Method and system for controlling downlink transmit power
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining channel cross correlation data relating to multiple user equipment (UEs) being served in a cell, wherein the channel cross correlation data comprises a correlation coefficient associated with a first UE of the multiple UEs and a second UE of the multiple UEs, identifying that the first UE is experiencing decreasing throughput, responsive to the identifying that the first UE is experiencing decreasing throughput, determining whether the correlation coefficient associated with the first UE and the second UE satisfies a correlation threshold, and, based on a first determination that the correlation coefficient does not satisfy the correlation threshold, adjusting a downlink (DL) transmit power allocation for transmissions directed to the first UE. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Energy efficient CSI measurement for FD-MIMO
Dynamic reconfiguration of CSI-RS resources for CSI reporting is described for full dimension multiple input, multiple output (FD-MIMO) systems. While a larger number of channel state information (CSI) reference signal (CSI-RS) resources with independent resource configuration are configured and associated with a CSI process, only a subset of resources that are activated by additional signaling are used for CSI measurement and reporting. The set of activated CSI-RS resources may include only a single CSI-RS resource. Both periodic and aperiodic CSI reporting may then be based on the same set of the activated CSI-RS resources. Medium access control (MAC) control elements may be used to provide activation/deactivation of the CSI-RS resources. Additionally, CSI reporting may be based on both the activated CSI-RS resources and the associated number of antenna ports.
