Multi-panel activation/deactivation status reporting
The present disclosure provides signaling for multi-panel user equipment (MPUE) activation and deactivation status. The MPUE may include a plurality of panels. The MPUE may determine a nominal number of active panels. The MPUE may map a number of panel identifiers equal to the nominal number of active panels to an actual number of active panels of the plurality of panels. The MPUE may receive, from a base station, a downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a communication based on one of the panel identifiers. The MPUE may determine a panel for the communication based on the mapping. The MPUE may communicate according to the DCI using the determined panel.
Techniques for activating or deactivating antenna panels at a user equipment
Aspects described herein relate to activating, by a user equipment (UE), or causing activation of, by a base station, one or more antenna panels at the UE. An action time for activating or deactivating the one or more antenna panels may also be used to allow processing time related to activation or deactivation of the antenna panels.
AUDIO/VIDEO RECEIVING DEVICE AND WIRELESS DISPLAY SYSTEM
An Audio/Video (A/V) receiving device may include a display, a Radio Frequency (RF) receiving module configured to receive an RF packet from an A/V transmitting device, the RF receiving module including a plurality of antennas, and a microcomputer configured to obtain a distance between the A/V transmitting device and A/V receiving device and when the obtained distance is changed, display a first message indicating that a number of antennas to be turned among the plurality of antennas is changed according to the change of the distance.
ENERGY-SAVING METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS APPLIED TO MULTI-LINK COMMUNICATION
A power save method and a communication apparatus that are applied to multi-link communication. A multi-link device sends a mode switching frame to another device to notify the other device that the multi-link device is to switch a communication mode, for example, switch from a multi-link conventional communication mode to a multi-link power save communication mode, or switch from the multi-link power save communication mode to the multi-link conventional communication mode. The multi-link conventional communication mode includes a first configuration. The multi-link power save communication mode includes the first configuration and a second configuration. A quantity of links used for transmission under the first configuration is greater than a quantity of links used for transmission under the second configuration. A balance is provided between a high rate and low power consumption.
VEHICULAR DISTRIBUTED ANTENNA SYSTEM OPERATING IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SAME
An embodiment relates to a vehicular distributed antenna system operating in a wireless communication system, the vehicular distributed antenna system comprising: a plurality of distributed units including RF antennas; and a central unit for controlling the plurality of distributed units, wherein, in a case of receiving a configuration of a power sleep mode from the central unit, the plurality of distributed units store final configuration parameter information; and in a case of receiving a configuration of a power activation mode from the central unit, the plurality of distribution units use the stored final configuration parameter information when a storage parameter use mode is configured, and receive new configuration parameter information when the storage parameter use mode is not configured.
Method and apparatus for adjusting half-power angle of antenna
A method for adjusting a half-power angle of an antenna, to adjust a maximum half-power angle or a maximum beam gain of an individual transceiver channel, includes: first determining that M antenna elements in N antenna elements connected to a first transceiver channel of an access network device need to be turned on or off, where N>M≥1, and both N and M are integers, that is, a quantity of antenna elements driven by the first transceiver channel needs to be adjusted; and then sending first indication information to the access network device, where the first indication information is used to indicate to turn on or off the M antenna elements.
Receiving apparatus, correction method and non-transitory storage medium
A reception apparatus of a time division multiple access (TDMA) system for performing intermittent reception by a reception period of a time slot and a non-reception period of a predetermined number of time slots which follow the reception period and in which reception is suspended includes a symbol clock controller configured to perform symbol synchronization at a timing at which a synchronous word included in the reception period after the non-reception period, and correct a symbol clock frequency of a symbol clock based on a number of time slots and a symbol count value during a previous reception period and the non-reception period following the previous reception period; and a reception period controller configured to correct, after detection of the synchronous word, a reception termination timing of the reception period in which the synchronous word is detected based on the symbol clock with the corrected symbol clock frequency.
Heat dissipation for millimeter-wave devices with antenna switching
Described herein are systems, methods and devices for implementing a temperature-aware, multi-antenna scheduler that cools mmWave devices by preventing heat buildup via switching or distributing a data stream to other redundant antennas, allowing for dissipation of heat as well as providing reliable connectivity.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE PERFORMING OPERATION CORRESPONDING TO OVER-TEMPERATURE STATE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THEREOF
An electronic device includes: a plurality of antennas, and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is configured to: identify an over-temperature state of the electronic device, identify a current state of the electronic device for at least one parameter of a user equipment (UE) capability of the electronic device based on identification of the over-temperature state, perform a first operation of reducing a number of antennas for reception among the plurality of antennas based on satisfying a specific condition by the current state of the electronic device for the at least one parameter, and perform the first operation and a second operation of changing at least some of the UE capability of the electronic device based on not satisfying the specific condition by the current state of the electronic device for the at least one parameter.
Apparatus and method for determining transmission power in wireless communication system
Various embodiments of the disclosure relate to a 5.sup.th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a data transfer rate higher than that of a 4.sup.th generation (4G) communication system such as LTE (long term evolution). An operating method of an electronic device according to various embodiments may include: receiving a reference signal from a base station via a plurality of antennas; acquiring path loss values respectively corresponding to the antennas, based on the reference signal; determining at least two antennas among the antennas, based on frequency band information received from the base station; acquiring a ratio for the path loss values corresponding to the determined at least two antennas; and transmitting a signal via the at least two antennas, based on the acquired ratio.
