Radio frequency (RF) signal boosters are provided. A radio frequency signal booster can include a housing integrated with a base station antenna. The booster includes a mobile station antenna port, and downlink and uplink amplifiers within the housing. The base station antenna can receive wireless communications signals on one or more downlink channels and transmit wireless communications signals on one or more uplink channels. Also, the mobile station antenna port can be connected to an integrated or separate mobile station antenna, which can provide communications signals on one or more downlink channels and receive wireless communications on one or more uplink channels. An isolator in the form of a reflector integrated with the housing can isolate the mobile station antenna from the base station antenna.

PANEL HAVING INTEGRATED ANTENNAS FOR ENHANCING RANGE OF TELECOMMUNICATION SIGNAL TRANSMISSIONS INSIDE BUILDINGS
20220173770 · 2022-06-02 ·

A construction panel having integrated antennas for enhancing the range of telecommunication signal transmissions inside buildings includes multiple layers, including a first layer and a second layer. The construction panel further includes a first antenna on the first layer. The first antenna transfers a telecommunication signal that is incident on the first layer. The construction panel further includes a second antenna on the second layer. The first antenna transmits the telecommunication signal to the second antenna through the first layer using near field coupling. A wavelength of the telecommunication signal is more than a distance between the first antenna and the second antenna. The second antenna causes the telecommunication signal to radiate on the opposite side of the first layer. One or more methods to manufacture the construction panel are also described.

Joint source channel coding for relaying

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for joint source channel coding for efficiently relaying a set of bits mapped to a modulation symbol. A method that may be performed by a wireless relay node includes obtaining a set of bits to convey to a second wireless node. The method may include mapping the set of bits to a first modulation symbol of a set of modulation symbols, wherein the mapping is chosen based on an interpreted value of the set of bits. The method may include transmitting the first modulation symbol to the second wireless node.
