LAYERED DIVISION MULTIPLEXING-BASED BROADCAST RELAY APPARATUS AND METHOD

Disclosed herein are a Layered Division Multiplexing (LDM)-based broadcast relay apparatus and method. The LDM-based broadcast relay apparatus includes a first layer symbol generation unit for outputting a first layer broadcast signal based on a received Layered Division Multiplexed (LDM) broadcast signal, a data buffer unit for storing the received LDM broadcast signal for a delay time before the first layer broadcast signal is output, and a second layer symbol generation unit for outputting a second layer broadcast signal by eliminating the first layer broadcast signal from the stored broadcast signal.

Emergency responder systems

Systems for aiding emergency responders are described. An exemplary system may include a primary device and a secondary device. The primary device may be configured to provide audio communication between the primary device and one or more of the plurality of secondary devices along a wireless communication path. The primary device may be configured to compress audio communication for transmission over a low bitrate band. The plurality of secondary devices may be configured as a network where each of the devices is configured to communicate with at least two other secondary devices. The secondary devices may also be configured to receive audio communication from the primary device and automatically transmit the received audio communication to one or more other of the secondary devices.

A channel access indication method and device. The method includes: receiving, by a first communications device, a channel synchronization request sent by a second communications device, where the channel synchronization request is used to request the first communications device to send a synchronization frame to the second communications device, and a wake-up receiver is configured for the second communications device; and according to the channel synchronization request and a time at which the second communications device is woken up and that is learned by the first communications device based on preset signaling, sending, by the first communications device when a channel is idle, the synchronization frame to the woken-up second communications device, where the synchronization frame is used to instruct the woken-up second communications device to access the channel after receiving the synchronization frame.

The present technology relates to a receiving device, a transmitting device, and a data processing method which are capable of providing a broadcast service using a wide bandwidth more flexibly. A receiving device processes a stream in which delivery configuration information indicating that the stream of the broadcast service is delivered across a predetermined frequency band is included in transmission information which is transmitted through an upper layer higher than a physical layer, the stream having a delivery configuration corresponding to the delivery configuration information, so that a broadcast service using a wider bandwidth can be provided. The present technology can be applied to a FW proxy device connected to a network such as, a home LAN, a head end of a cable operator, a base station of a mobile network, or the like.

DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REBROADCASTING COMMUNICATION DATA WITH ADDITIONAL CONTEXT DATA

A device, system and method for rebroadcasting communication data with additional context data is provided. A device detects communication data broadcast on a first radio channel by a radio device associated with a first user. In response to determining that the communication data meets given criteria for rebroadcasting, the device: determines additional context data associated with one or more of the radio device and the first user; identifies one or more second radio channels for rebroadcast of the communication data; and causes at least a portion of the communication data and the additional context data to be broadcast on the one or more second radio channels, the additional context data being broadcast in a channel-compatible format one or more of preceding, succeeding and embedded in the portion of the communication data.
